“Deservedly Number 1 Ranking in Haleiwa”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

We went here for lunch with 3 adults and one 14 year-old with a severe peanut allergy. After glancing undecidedly at the menu for a few minutes, the restaurant owner came to the table, greeted us as friends (as he did with the other guests), took the menus out of our hands and just started asking us very specific questions about our likes and dislikes, as well as our previous experiences with Thai food. The result was an unforgettable meal of exceptional quality and taste, chosen by the owner himself, that stretching but did not overstretch our taste buds. The food was served up with friendly, sometimes playfully cheeky service AND, entirely peanut-free - a huge relief for everyone...Leo, the owner´s young son, is a fantastic ambassador for everything Thai/Hawaiian and possesses exceptional communication skills that belie his very young age.

“need to eat here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

I would definitely eat here. Opal is a cool guy. he does take time to ask your interests and his food is the best thai food i have had

as others have said be prepared for the experience where you are asked preferences and a meal is "chosen" for you. if you like to be in total control of your food it may not be a great experience for you (the older folks in our group were not crazy about this, i thought it was great)

a few tips,

it is BYOB

when we were there it was closed at lunch a few days, may want to call ahead- they do take reservations

“A Mystery Dinner Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

Loved it! As all reviews will tell you, the owner asks you a series of questions of preferences, allergies, dietary restrictions etc and then brings food he has chosen for you to the table. It was awesome and very tasty and he was on point with everything he chose. Hours seem hit and miss as it wasnt open the first time we went there although it should have been. Tiny austere restaurant that lacks charm in decor and ambience but delivers with the delicious and personalized food. A must try experience when visiting the north shore.

“You gotta try it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

We went based on other reviews we saw and were not disappointed. We weren't sure what to order so they took the menu from us and said they would take care of us... Boy did they. From the pork lettuce wraps to the drunken shrimp, one word OUTSTANDING.
