“good spicy shrimp”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

we usually eat at giovanni's shrimp truck out at kahuku, they also have a truck in haleiwa. this time we decided to give macky's a try because of the reviews on tripadvisor. we really enjoyed the fresh salad greens and sliced pineapple that come on the plates. at giovanni's you only get shrimp and rice. the shrimp were fresh, large and tasty. we ordered one spicy and one garlic and butter. both were good. we were warned about ordering spicy and the order taker tried to talk us out of it, but i thought it could be spicier. if you like sriracha sauce then you will like the spicy. the garlic and butter were good, but i thought it needed more garlic and more butter (at giovanni's your shrimp are literally swimming in butter and garlic and their spicy is much more spicy). one other tip is order to go as it comes in a stryo container and you can take home your leftovers, otherwise it comes on a paper plate and the sauces tend to get soaked up by the plate.

“The best garlic butter shrimp EVER!!”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

We decided to take a trip out to the north shore just to try Macky's, after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. I think the trip was well worth it! The shrimp were huge and the flavoring was so delish. We decided to eat inside the car due to the flies around the picnic area. Right next to a 7-11, just in case you wanna pick up some snacks. We will return!!!

“Good, but not worth the trip for only this meal”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Ok, this is probably the best shrimp truck in the area and if you must eat at a shrimp truck then try this one. We tried a few and this by far has the best flavor and price as well. Although don't come to the north shore just to have it, it is not that good and defitnetly not worth the trip. You can get fresh shrimp at any Asian seafood restaurant on the island, but if you only compare food trucks in the area, then it is the best.

“Amazingly good!”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

I can't add a whole lot more to what other folks have written. My husband and I both had the buttery garlic shrimp. They were huge and delicious, and there were quite a few of them. My husband isn't overly fond of rice but this rice was really tasty. Along with the salad and pineapple who could ask for more? We had a coupon and our entire meal, including sodas, came to $22. The service was super friendly. If we ever return to the North Shore Macky's will be the first restaurant we visit!

“Incredible experience”
Reviewed January 18, 2013 via mobile

Macky's seems to be getting more and more raves from people. We stopped by at 11 and found the place nearly empty but by the time we left, it was 3/4 full and growing fast. Tried two orders of the garlic shrimp and the taste was out of this world. Butter, garlic and fresh shrimp perfectly sautéed. Hugh scoop of rice equivalent to the two scoops other places serve. Tangy salad and pineapple wedge round out the full meal. We were so impressed we order an additional lemon pepper shrimp just to see what it was like. Sink with soap and water and two pit toilets. Lots of picnic tables. While there weren't alot of shrimp, it was incredibly sweet and tasty. Quality over quantity. The beautiful sauce on the rice scoop was iterative.

We used a coupon that we got on Oahu Gold for a discount on the shrimp and the nice lady gave it to us even when we came back for our third plate.
