Aloha, from a very special peacefully paradise on Molokai. We are feeling sad to be leaving in 5 days, but have so fully enjoyed every day here in paradise & will be returning next yr. The more we return to Molokai the more deeply we are drawn to it's serenity. We were so fortunate to have spent 3 mths here, but having said that it was a challenge to book this time period. We missed out on several of the condos that we previously stayed in as calendars were booked, & knowing that all condo's can differ greatly in aspects of their pricing, upgrades, ammenaties & the upkeep & cleaning, my search was full on. With a stroke of luck condo # 2193 appeared, newly advertised on Flipkey. The owner Gene answered back immediately & we had it all booked in a snap, which can be challenge from Canada. Gene is fantastic to work with, from booking to arrival info & anything else that may come up. Being new to flip key this condo had no reviews so I was somewhat nervous, I would hate to be stuck in an unenjoyable place to 3 months.
Well fear not, when first opening the door & walking in we knew all was wonderful. Read the owners well written description, it & the pics are exactly right on & even nicer when actually here. And oh so immaculately clean, which cannot be said for all condo's. So just take a trip to town for food & utilize the condo's ammenaties, make some wonderful meals to enjoy on the Lanai to a different sunset each night. The sounds of the ocean & the breazes put you to sleep & as dawn rises, wake to the many cheerful song birds that lure you to the lanai to listen & relax with your morning coffee or tea, my personal fav. Same sounds all day, great to read a book to also. There are beach towels & great linen's, a large closet, and washer & dryer are very handy. The upstairs bathroom is super convienient & rarely seen in a loft. WiFi is perfect. The fridge has a fantastic option is of a filtered cold water tap inside door, although the tap water is good, this removes the chlorine taste & is cold.
Now go see the Island or stay close to home, whatever calls you, short walks, long hikes in many directions, something different everyday, a resting seal on the secluded beaches, watching whales excercise both near & far, bring binoculars. Swim at Dixie beach, snorkeling is usually safe there, & fun for beginners & there are turtles sometimes, over the rocks in the center of the bay, so close to the sandy shore Ask before swimming & snorkelling anywhere else in the winter month as the currents & waves are very powerfull & unpredictable. A few days last week were exceptionally calm & I snorkelled with an experienced person out from Make Horse beach. Wow, there are terrific reefs & openings just teaming with fish of all kinds. I really wish I could visit & snorkel this area in the calm ocean months of summer, as locals tell me of the wonderful ocean & beach right here at Kepuhi. Thx Gene & Gere Hill for sharing your piece of paradise.
