This is in a very small town that is getting very small. The "kite factory" and a general store are all there is, with a lot of slum style houses. In this setting, this is a very nice place. The room is generally clean, but no dresser or shelves of any kind. Only a bed, a desk, a bathroom sink, toilet and shower (the bottom of the shower was so brown that my wife would not take a shower without flip-flops. The manager is very pleasant and makes a very nice breakfast. He is pleasant to talk with if you keep him off of politics (local or federal). There is no sign on the fron to let you know that it is there. We got to the address, but it looks like a house with no indication that it is a B & B, so we debated and debated about what to do. After about 20 minutes, he came out and called us by name and said this was the place. The front door really looks dirty, the carpet in the hallway shows the tack strips on the side, the porch outside the back door is lacking any rail, so if you go straight, you fall off a 10 foot drop. There is a kitchen/meeting room that is a very nice extra. You can use the refrigerator, coffee maker, eating utensils and the electric cooker. There is no stove or microwave. He allowed us to use his barbeque. If you go expecting to stay in rurual 1930 America, you will be happy. Most of the island lives in early 1900 rural America, and they really don't want big cruise ships, big companies, big government (except for the government hand outs).
