I am happy to read such good reviews for #214+++. I hope it was only our unit #104 which needs some serious attention_ due to strong, musty order, poor housecleaning, and minimally stocked kitchen. That western area of the island has suffered greatly since the closing of the ranch, golf course, hotel, etc. Plus points (+++) for receptionist, on site manager and Saturday maintenance crew when our refrigerator conked out (the third that week!) Fantastic, beautifully landscaped pool/ spa area: the best feature_ always shaded parts; always a most welcome trade wind! Beautiful nightly walks and sunsets. Lotsa cats! Mule train to Fr. Damien"s Kalau- papa a must-do! Some beautiful/ shaded (!) beaches... Few dine-out opportunities... Milk is $10.00 per gallon...You will often be the only vehicle on the road.. No traffic lights....No litter (?! ) WONDERFULLY slow & relaxed pace of life!

My wife and I spent four nights at Kai Nani Kai#212 in late May early June 2009. It was a terrific condo and we enjoyed the stay very much. The owner has decorated and stocked the unit very nicely. It is a 2 bedroom unit with good ventilation, very quiet, nice location and view to the ocean. The west end of Molokai feels a bit remote compared to the east side, but it is great for peace and quiet. Also, the beaches are nicer at the west end. The complex has a very nice pool. Services and restaurants are limited at the west end, so best to stock up on food in town before you head out this way. I strongly recommend this unit and would return gladly.

We stayed at Rose & Gene's condo at #115 Ke Nani
Kai from May 28th until June 4th, 2009 after
spending a week in Poipu on Kauai. Our impression
was that, while Kauai is becoming ever more
touristy, Molokai is becoming less so.

If you want a vacation in which stress melts away
entirely, then do yourself a favor and visit Molokai.
Better yet, stay at Rose & Gene's place on the sunny
west side of the island.

The condo overlooks the 3-mile long Papohaku
Beach, light pollution is minimal so that the night
sky is illuminated in a way that few ever see (you
can see the Milky Way galaxy head-on), you are
visited on the lanai by wild turkeys in the early
morning and late afternoon and by bufo toads in
the evening, and the fully-equipped kitchen,
furnishings and Rose's decorative sensibilities make
you feel right at home on this island paradise.

Some of the most pristine and secluded beaches
are on the west side and within walking distance
from the condo (we especially liked Kepuhi Beach
located just off the "back 9" of the Kaulakoi Resort
and the two Mauliuli Beaches directly north of
Kepuhi Beach). Also, within a 5~10 minute drive is
Dixie Maru Cove, which is ideal for snorkeling and
swimming.

Be sure to take the mule ride down into Kaulapapa
and to drive to the east side of the island to see
Halawa Valley. Also, people told us that the guided
hike through the Halawa Valley led by Eddie Tanaka
is worthwhile. Rose provides information on how to
contact Eddie to schedule a tour.

We can't wait to return.

My wife and I spent a delightful week in this recently renovated condo unit with extra large lanai and sweeping views across beautifully landscaped grounds to the ocean and beach. Great location on second floor with cooling breezes and vaulted ceilings. Fabulous pool nearby but not so close you get any noise. Hawaii's best and least populated beaches just a short drive away. The owner was so quick and informative in all communication and could not have been easier or more friendly to work with. You have to like quiet places to enjoy Molokai, but this is the unit we will return to when we head back.

We recently spent 5 nights in Molokai. It wasn't long enough. My husband and I love Hawaii; although knowing that Molokai was 'quieter' we waited until we were sans children to visit. We loved Molokai. It reminds us of rural Montana where we are from. We really enjoyed the quiet beaches. However the friendliness of the locals at the grocery store, restaurants, coffee plantation, security personnel were second to none! We also walked down to Kalaupapa. That trip was awesome!! We stayed in Ke Nani Kai 214 condo. This condo was very clean and tastefully decorated. Sitting on the lanai we could hear the ocean. We were able to walk to 3 different beaches and spent time at all either running barefoot for 4+ miles, watching the sunsets, or enjoying the rays! The pool area of the Ke Nani Kai resort is wonderful as well; and we enjoyed the hot tub every night. The condo has a well equipped kitchen and the resort has several BBQ's; offering alternative dining. Plus the condo had some tennis racquets; and the resort had some great courts that we also took advantage. The closure of the nearby resorts is sad; yet the spirit of Molokai prevails! We hope to return to Molokai and stay longer...and we would start by contacting the owners of #214 Ke Nani Kai to check on the availability of the condo.

Vacations are almost always a great thing. The one that my husband and I took this year to Rose's #115 condo on Molokai was one of the best and most relaxing ones we have EVER taken. We stayed for a week in the first part of April and couldn't of asked for anything more!

The condo was very well stocked (in fact, don't go to the store before you go there and check!), the location is great, what more could one ask for? The only thing that we can think of is....to be able to come back!

Thanks to Rose and all the information she shared with us regarding the island, we felt like we were home. We've all heard the saying "home away from home" and I can honestly say that Ke Nani Kai #115 condo is truly our "home away from home" and can't wait to go back again.

Stayed in condo 121. It was recently updated and nicely furnished. Great view from the lanai. Bed was on the hard side. Condo manager was very friendly and helpful and hopefully fixed some of the suggestions we had for the place. #121 is a one bedroom perfect for 2 people. Cable tv. Beach is about 1/2 mile walk down the road from the condo. Do get a phone card if you plan on making long distance calls - cell phone reception is limited to none.
