Nothing special, but the coffee is decent. The highlight for me was the Sunday afternoon music on the Lanai.

The place to go on weekends for good coffee drinks...actually much better than Starbucks. Sunday afternoon's feature Hawaiian music. We enjoyed that last year, did not get a chance this time. The cappucino's are first class.

I can't count the many times we stopped for coffee during our nine days on Molokai. The large lanai (verandah) is inviting and comfortable. Of course, we had to try the local "Mocha Momma" once which was a tasty treat, but our favorite was iced coffee made with coffee ice cubes. We had a hot pretzel with cinnamon sugar one day and other snacks and pastries all of which were good and fresh. If you are there on a Sunday, check if "Na Ohana Hoaloha" are playing. If so, get there early as it is more enjoyable sitting up closer. We enjoyed the Hawaiian music and hula performances. It was fun to see some of the people playing along with their ukulele's. A program songbook with music is provided to everyone. Adjacent to the coffee shop is a good gift shop with a variety of items and coffee.

A great place for a cup of coffee, a breakfast or lunch sandwich or salad. We ended up here several times to eat or pick up food to take to our hotel room during our week on Molokai. The coffee plantation section was shut down for some remodeling, but the restaurant is open. The Blue Monkey gift shop there is one of the nicest on the island.

I just spent 5 days on the island of Molokai and one of the highlights of my trip was spending time at Coffees of Hawaii, an open air coffee shop. While the coffee is very good, the Mocha Mama is to die for. It is a combination of a coffee milkshake and a frapuccino and definitely puts Starbucks to shame.

They also offer sandwiches, salads, and baked items so it is a great place to have lunch.

If you ever go to Molokai, be sure to go to Coffees of Hawaii on Sunday afternoon for their Hawaiin music and dance performance by Ohana Hualoha. This was a wonderful sing-a-long led by a very talented group of musicians. We were provided a hand out so we could try (Hawaiian words are very difficult to pronounce) to sing along. Three women danced some beautiful hula for us. It was wonderful.

If you brought your ukelele along, go back on Tuesday morning for a music gathering where anyone playing an instrument can come and play along.

Another highlight is the lovely gift store.
