“breakfast without fruit or juice!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2006

When we went to have breakfast at the restaurant at the Hotel Molokai, where we were staying for a couple of days, we were very disappointed to discover that the only offering at 8AM on Sunday morning was an $11 buffet, which included fried fish and fried chicken, French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage and rice. There were no potatoes, no cereal or yogurt and NO Fruit of any kind, including juice! There was an extra charge for coffee and when I asked for some fruit, I was brought a half of a small papaya, with a couple of tablespoons of yogurt. $3.50 was added to our bill for this fruit. It was not possible for us to order anything but the buffet. The food on the buffet was not very warm or tasteful. The setting was lovely, however. Since this was the only place to get breakfast, we needed to drive to town the next morning to eat.

“Very nice experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2004

We stayed at the Hotel Molokai (see reviews for the hotel itself) and while there dined at the restaurant.

It is covered but open air. The staff is more than friendly and the food very good. The prices were about the lowest we have seen anywhere in Hawaii (not counting McDonalds of course). The selection is not huge but the menu has something for everyone.

The best thing about this restaurant is it the place the locals go to for a family dinner or get together. It is not a place for the rowdy crowd at all.

If a local family is celebrating an event and you happen to be there eating dinner look for them to invite you to join in.

All in all this is a wonderful place to go even if you do not stay at the hotel.

This is also one of only a few places to eat on Molokai.
