The first Friday of every month they provide live music until about 10 pm. Great value with food from the soul. Drinks are strong and try some of the special martinis, Lilikoi Lip Balm, BBQ martini are newest. Menu changes based on product so look often. Unfortunately web site can't stay abreast of changes, so call for updates. Private functions and outside caterings are discussed and encouraged. Great for medical programs and rehearsal dinners.

“Outstanding lunch!!!!!”
Reviewed March 13, 2014 via mobile

The grilled mahi mahi with fried artichokes with truffle oil and balsamic served with mashed potatoes was truly wonderful, as we're the cherry-wood smoked chicken quesadillas. The shoestring onion rings looked REALLY good, too. The beer was cold! The only negatives: long waits because there are only two waitresses who also serve as hostesses and just one cook on duty -----it gets pretty backed up at lunch time----but, oh so worth the wait if you have the time and are not a grouchy "waiter"!!!

“Classy, quality food in a low key, historic setting”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

Classy, quality food in a low key, historic setting, I ordered the mahi mahi over mashed potatoes with blackened artichokes...it was divine. I couldn't believe how great the potatoes were, the artichokes were outstanding as well. The fish was fresh.

“Great Lunch in Wailuku”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

Small hole in the wall place you might not look twice at but that would be a mistake. I think it's the owner doing the cooking and he is great. They are only open Monday-Friday and lots of locals eat there. They have specials every day, like avocado stuffed with crab, grilled Mahi, and it's all fresh and local. They make the best onion rings my wife and I have ever had. I'd say probably the world's best. You have got to try them. I'd recommend a 1/2 order if there are only two of you. The lamb burger was fantastic as well. They are at 2051 Main Street . Try them and you'll go back.

“Small Crowd”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We went right after lunch at the start of the dinner hour and it felt like we were intruding on an event between the owner and his friends. The chef/owner was extremely kind to us. The prices were higher than we wanted to pay, so we got mini burgers and shared an order of french fries. The food was good, but not my type of place.

“Perfect Preparation”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

We stopped in on the early side, and could barely tell they were open. Chef Tom was by himself, and quite charming. We were in the mood for just appetizers or small plates rather than entrees. We started with the half order of onion rings, which are the best we've ever had. Super paper thin, with a light coating, and fried crisp, with a homemade smoky ketchup. Warning: a half order is HUGE. Bigger than most full sized orders. Then came the quesadilla, which was made with an extraordinary cherry-wood smoked chicken, and a spicy aioli sauce drizzled on top. Yum. Then came the grilled asparagus with a fried egg on top drizzled with a truffle oil and balsamic reduction. It was a perfect combination of flavors. Though the desserts all sounded awesome, we weren't in the mood. So we ended with a beet salad (plenty of beets on bottom), with lots of cashews and crumbled blue cheese on fresh greens.
The restaurant itself lacks any ambiance or charm whatsoever. But the guy really REALLY knows how to prepare perfect dishes. If we ever return to Wailuku, this would be our first choice.
