The most fun I have ever had on a snorkel tour. The captain was great. On the way up to the snorkel sight we got to see several whales, one breaching not 20 feet from the boat, as well as humpback calfs, and bottlenose and spinner dolphins. I opted for the SNUBA activity and had a blast, though the variety of fish was admittedly slim, there was were several eels. On the way back we saw a few more whales and were then taken to see a few sea turtles. Included in the trip was a breakfast (bagels, fruit, juice, and coffee) and lunch (pulled pork (very good!) grilled chicken, hot dogs, or a veggie burger). The captain and crew were all very helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. All around a great outting!

“A great afternoon at Molokini”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

The afternoon trip is not popular as the morning because the trades pick up. However, we lucked out and had a terrific day and were the only ones anchored at Molokini. This was our second experience with Four Winds II and we pleased both times.

“Great economical snorkel tour in Maui”
Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

Our family of 3 older teens, my husband and myself did this tour on January 6. We really enjoyed the great staff and fantastic bbq lunch.Snorkelling was good but not great, saw whales and turtles, so still felt it was a good value for the money. Only complaint is the cranky guy checking you in, but thankfully you only see him for a few minutes. The guys on the boat are super friendly and knowledgable and make the trip quite fun. 17 year old daughter did get sea sick, but would still recommend as a great snorkelling trip!

“Average snorkeling, a bit crowded”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

Molokini was beautiful

Captain was knowledgeable

Saw several whales and turtles, good job pointing them out and getting us close. The whale watching was great!

Plenty of food available

Pretty kid friendly

Boat felt quite packed, have been on a lot of these tours before and this was a bit too crowded,

There were many boats and we were kept in a very limited area having to stay right near our boat. I found this unusual...

Fish were very limited, not many. Saw more right off the Maui beaches although the visibility is better here.

Too much selling of cameras and snuba

The boat advertised staying longer at Molokini instead of a second snorkel trip, they did stay about 20 minutes longer than the others, but given the choice again, I would prefer the second site.

The glass bottom that was advertised was closed during the trip, it was only open during snorkeling time, so it wasn't possible to view unless you want to miss snorkel time.

Sandwiches were tasty but selection limited

“Wow Trip To Molokini”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

We had the most wonderful time on the Four Winds ll snorkle trip. The cost is quite reasonable with all the perks. We boarded in the morning. (Which by the way is the best time to go. We were told the afternoon trips don't always make it to Molokini due to wind and rough seas.) The first person we met while standing in line was the Captain, Captain John. He was the most delightful fellow we have met in some time. He told jokes and met everyone eye to eye learning our names. He introduced us to the crew who made 2 delicious meals. Breakfast and a bar-b-q lunch. He even has seasick pills and ginger water. We were allowed to snorkle for 2 full hours. To my husband's surprise they had prescription masks that allowed him to see the fish in the ocean for the first time. Captain John allowed all of the children to "steer" the craft. You should have seen the 18 month old's smile. We were so fortunate to see a whale teaching her young calf a trick or two. Then off to turtle university where there were too many turtles to count. This was the best "boat" trip I have ever taken and at Molokini the water is warmer and clearer than you could imagine. Back on board Captain John called our parties out one by one looking for the faces he memorized as we boarded. Thanks Captain John and the Four Winds ll!!!! Best experience from all our Hawaii Island trips combined.
