This was a great little park with fantastic views. It's not expensive (only $5 per car) and it's not a long or particularly strenuous hike around. Seeing the mountains all around you was fantastic, and the gardens are lush and beautiful. Definitely a must-see when you're on Maui.

One hundred plus steps UP to one of the best views on Maui!
Well worth the $5 parking/entrance fee. Beautiful tropical gardens, falling water falls and exceptional scenry.

I might have expected too much, but the hike was pretty short, maybe 15-20 minutes all told. The view is tremendous, but it's pretty far out of the way.

We visited this park nearly 25 yrs ago, and decided to come out to take the short hike and climb the stairs last week. It's just outside of town, one and it feels like hours away. This is a must-see as it is stunning.

Iao valley is amazing. Rich history, breathtaking views. There are a couple of great hikes in the valley too. Be careful if it is raining.
It is a magical spot on Maui.
