“Beautiful easy walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

We finally decided to include this in our visit to Maui this time round, and I'm so glad we did! It is a beautiful, peaceful place to visit. There weren't too many people there when we visited in November. The walk is very easy and not very long - we did it with our two young sons. Note to all parents - hold on to your younger children's hands constantly when you're up on the top - it's easy for them to trip and fall under the railing! Very pretty place and highly recommend it.

“Short side trip”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

We make a short trip here every time on Maui. It IS a very short trip once you are there. There are great photo ops and some very short walks. The kids love it! They run everywhere! If you take your time in the small garden you may even find some very cool frogs!
It can be difficult with tour buses there. Definitely not for strollers, wheelchairs or people with mobility issues.

“Worthy of a Visit While on Maui”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013

This park is a short drive from the airport and Kahului. If it is raining the drive up to and past the monument is beautiful. There are plenty of hiking paths. The parking rate is reasonable since there is no entrance fee. On a clear day the area is stunning and provides plenty of photo opportunities.

“Nice peaceful place for a short visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2013

This was a nice peaceful place for a short visit. The needle itself wasn't all that impressive but the area was beautiful. We got there early and paid the $5.00 fee for parking. There were some nice short trails, a stream, a small waterfall and lots of greenery. The history of the area, explained on many plaques, is very important.
This valley is definitely worth visiting if you like nature, history and scenery.
