Our award-winning restaurant offers an enticing menu of island-inspired cuisine along with spectacular views of Ma'alaea Harbor. It's the perfect dining destination to relax with a refreshing Cucumber Watermelon-rita while watching for Humpback whales or surfers, depending on what season we're in! Locally grown ingredients bring out the best of Maui flavors. Mouthwatering 100% wild caught blue crab cakes and the chef's creatively prepared fresh catch of the day are just a few dishes on the diverse, sustainable seafood-friendly menu. Kids' menu and gluten free or vegetarian options are also available. There are two convenient entrances, one inside the Aquarium and the other near the Ma'alaea Harbor Shops. Now serving dinner Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Aquarium admission is not required to dine.

“Fresh Sea Food, good preparation, very tasty!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

We had lunch at the Seascape Ma’alaea restaurant on 14th June 2013, before we visited the Maui Ocean Center and ordered the following dishes for four persons.

Hot and Spicy Chicken wings: This was very good with a crispy skin. Marinated in a sourish Mexican chili sauce which was sourish and spicy. Served with some salads.

Turkey Bacon sandwich: Was average and not exciting, and was served with fries that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Shrimp octopus Salad: The dressing was tangy and the vegetables fresh and crunchy.

Baby back ribs: Was delicious. Truly finger licking good.

Clams with chardonnay sauce: Came with a bowl of potatoes and garlic bread. Unfortunately, the delicious chardonnay source was not fully appreciated because the bread was garnished with garlic. The potatoes were toped with grated cheese.

On the whole, the service was fast and the waitress polite, friendly and attentive. Prices were on the side of average and there was a free flow of coffee if this was ordered.

The establishment is part of the Maui Ocean Center, and you can purchase the entrance fee to the Ocean Center at the restaurant.

“Fantastic view - beautiful setting!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

Enjoying the Maui Ocean Center and its `shark tank`, is only part of the experience here. As the aquarium is set on the shores of the harbour, it is impossible not to enjoy the view form almost any seat in the restaurant. We were able to see whale breaches without binoculars right from our seats. As well, compared to similar venues (we have an annual family pass to the Vancouver Aquarium), the food is quite tasty - and the views are wonderful. As well, our service was impeccable!
Overall, a great experience.

“Good for Post-Aquarium/Whale Watching Meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

We come to the Maui Ocean Center in Maalea harbor at least once a year, and usually have a late lunch at Seascape. While the food isn't to write home about, it's darn good for a meal after or during your aquarium visit, or even after your whale watching or snorkeling trip on boats departing from Maalea. The view of the harbor and of South Maui are lovely, it's a relaxed pace and the menu varied. I usually opt for the fresh fish special, which has never disappointed and the quality could be found at prices twice the price. Service is usually good, but don't expect a fast pace. Marta is our favorite server - she's fantastic! and we ask to sit in her section whenever she's working. Our last visit included fish and chips and a bacon turkey sandwich, both nicely prepared. The french fries, however, are one of the best things on the menu. Fantastic, crisp and not greasy - go for a basket to share! There is an annoying bell that comes from the kitchen every few minutes - I imagine it's the chef letting the servers know an order is ready - so ask for a seat away from the kitchen door if you'd like a quieter experience. The tables up by the fish tank (watch for the giant puffer!) are great for kids as they can watch the fish swim by and the adults can enjoy the expansive ocean view. All in all, I find this restaurant reasonably priced for Maui standards, with the quality high for the price, particularly the fresh fish special of the day.

“slow service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

The special of the day was not the same as what was posted on the board at the top of the stairs. Took along time to get our water then to take our order then the starters came at the same time as the meal. Our two grandsons were kept occupied by watching the fish in the tank that is part of the Maui Ocean Center.
