“Great Family Activity”
Reviewed October 10, 2009

We visited the maui ocean center in Feb '08. It was a great activity to do with my 2 kids age 4 & 2 at the time. Loved the tunnel that you could walk thru to look at the sharks and rays!

“The Ocean Center afforded us a great educational opportunity to learn about the sea life around Maui.”
Reviewed October 8, 2009

For a small aquarium, we found the Maui Ocean Center included a vast representation of the sea life in the area. The aquarium guides were extremely well versed in the various sea life represented and very passionate about the subject. I learned more about sharks than I could ever have imagined. Their enthusiasm was infectious. In addition, we were impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. The glass tunnel which pases through a large tank was awesome. We first visited when they first opened in 1998 and found this visit even more enjoyable. The gift shop was huge and is a great place to purchase souvenier gifts. We wish them continued success.

“Great place to go before you go snorkeling”
Reviewed October 8, 2009

After viewing the exhibits in the multiple buildings in this ocean center complex, we were much better at identifying the fish we saw when snorkeling off the Kamaole beaches.

“Top quality aquarium, not very large.”
Reviewed September 24, 2009

Aquarium was one of the best presentations I have ever seen. Indoor reef building, turtle pond, petting area was great for kids, hammerhead shark tank, and the final building had a large tank with clear/walk thru tunnel. Not alot of acreage here. 90 minutes maximum attention span and $25 adult admission. Bottom line: If your can spare the money and time, then go. It was extremely cool.

“Pleasantly surprised”
Reviewed August 21, 2009

Wasn't sure about going to the aquarium but it turned out wonderfully. I enjoyed seeing the animals including sharks, stingrays, turtles, etc. You could even touch starfish, etc. Great store for souvenirs, etc. inside also.

Would highly recommend. Can easily do in a morning...
