Read about this place online and in numerous travel books, so we decided to swing by when we were in the area. Turns out, we probably would have driven out of our way if we had the time to come back! We came for a late lunch (like 3 pm) so it wasn't crowded. Our table split 2 flatbreads, the BBQ chicken and the teriyaki beef. They were superb! Very delicious. I couldn't decide which one was better. It just depended on which one I was eating at the time. The BBQ chicken had the standard toppings on it, but it definitely tasted A LOT better than BBQ chicken pizzas you are used to. The teriyaki had beef, broccoli, onions, sesame seeds, and a soy sauce to substitute as tomato sauce.

They also use a lot of local and fresh ingredients too. You can watch them cook the flatbreads in the oven while you wait (though we didn't wait long for our food). The flatbreads are great for sharing because you get more variety. I think it would be tough to eat a full one by yourself, but getting 2 flatbreads was just perfect for the 3 in our party.

We also got dessert-a chocolate brownie with ice cream and a strawberry topped poundcake and both were excellent as well.

The service was attentive, sat by the window and people watched in Paia. All in all, a great meal!

My family of 4 ate here after driving the Road to Hana. What a great way to finish out the day! We ordered 2 large pizzas and had some leftovers to take back to our condo. We loved it sooo much that we fought over who got to eat the leftovers! The pulled pork/pineapple was a favorite, as was the vegeterian....So very yummy! Very casual, laid-back, local restaurant. No need to dress up. We loved the food so much that we also lunched there on our last day in Maui even though it was a drive to get there from Kihei.
The town was okay, but we didn't enjoy it as much as some other spots we visited.

My wife & I decided to try this place on our way to the airport. One of the best decisions we've made because the food was excellent! I forgot the name of the pizza we ate but it had pulled pork, pineapples, & goat cheese on it. We should've gone here 1st...oh well...there's always next time if we ever go back to Maui again.

We discovered this place on our last night in Hawaii. We had previously conquered the Road to Hana and passed right through Paia without stopping. Had we stopped at the Flatbread Company earlier in our trip we would have made the drive every night!

The pizza is made with ingredients that are sourced locally and everything is cooked in the very large stone oven in the kitchen. The service is not speedy - but it's because of the quality of the food and cooking techniques. It's all worth the wait, the drive and the experience! Our group of four come from Phx, home of Pizza Bianco which was voted #1 pizza in the US a couple of years ago. The pizza at Flatbread tops Pizza Bianco in my opinion.
