“Best pizza of my life”
Reviewed July 15, 2011

We ate at Flatbread Pizza after a long day of driving the Road to Hana. We were pretty hungry and remembered seeing it in Paia on our way through that morning and also that a local from the car rental agency had recommended it to us as well. We went, were seated immediately mostly because we got the table by the ovens which wasn't overly warm or uncomfortable in any way and we got a front row seat at how the pizza were made and cooked. We had a hard time deciding what to order and finally just went with the recommendations of the server - half vegetable pesto and half special of the day which was golden potato with a creamy / alfredo kind of sauce. All ingredients are local and organic which isn't why we chose to eat there but the flavors and freshness of the food was incredible. We ordered a side salad which was large enough for the 2 of us to easily share and had good sized portions each. The pizza was amazing - the best I've ever had. We loved it so much that we went back for our last night in Maui. Were seated at the same table- I don't know why people don't want to sit there. It was great - still not too warm at all! I was hoping the specials would change every day but they were still the same. We couldn't resist though and ordered exactly what we had the first night - plus desserts this time- and were in love with it all over again. The service was good and the wait time for the food to arrive was average. They are definitely busy there and I can imagine there may be a wait at times. We arrived to eat after 9pm on a Friday and around 5:30-6pm on a Sunday and were seated immediately both times. The restaurant was clean and had a relaxed atmosphere. They also seemed to be open until 11pm which was a plus for us since many places seem to close before then.

“Good, healthy, thin crust pizza”
Reviewed July 9, 2011

We had a good lunch here. We had the pepperoni and a pesto flatbread pizza. Really liked the pepperoni. The pesto was good, but didn't really do alot for us.

This is a typical Paia place. Laid back, friendly, very "earthy". Service was good. I would recommend this place for good pizza at a decent price (for Maui). And you can be in and out in less than an hour. Get a seat by the front windows for great people watching.

“Local grown”
Reviewed July 2, 2011

So nice to eat locally grown food at Flatbread Pizza. We enjoyed the pizza as it was thin and crisp, just as we like it. Reasonably priced, too!
