We celebrated Father's Day at Mama's, and it was a treat for all of us. I had made the reservations online about a month prior, and requested a table with a sunset view. When we arrived, we were greeted so warmly, and shown to a table that was perfect for watching a gorgeous Maui sunset. There was no sign whatsoever of the drama earlier in the day of the ash that had forced them to close for a few hours. Kudos to the whole team for getting that cleaned up and reopening so quickly! Our service throughout the meal was impeccable. We even got special attention from one of the managers, who brought me a beautiful lei. We had 3 apps - seared ahi, shrimp wontons and beef Polynesan. They were all so delicious that I'm not sure I could say which one I liked best. Our entrees were Kampachi, Mahi Mahi and the Traditional Hawaiian Feast. Wow! We were all happy with our selections. For dessert, we had a lillikoi creme brûlée and banana Mac nut cobbler thing. The creme brûlée had been on my mind for 4 years, since my last visit, and it was just as good as I remembered. We've eaten here several times, and always loved everything that we have tried. The service has always been great, and everyone there has always been warm and welcoming. No trip to Maui is complete for us without at least one wonderful meal at Mama's!
