Pa'ia is the last town you pass through before the long and windy Road to Hana (Hana Highway). Consequently, it is a great place to stop at if you are either going to Hana or coming back from Hana. After a long day of adventurous driving, we stopped in Pa'ia for dinner. Based on TripAdvisor reviews my fourteen year old daughter picked Cafe Del AMIS. It was a fantastic choice. The menu consists of primarily Mediterranean and Indian dishes with a mouthwatering crepe selection. We ordered a curry bowl, curry wrap, and a meat, spinach, and cheese filled crepe along with a Greek salad. Everything was made fresh, and moreover, it all tasted great. I would also recommend the Mediterranean appetizer sampler platter. You get a large assortment of food. Make sure you save room for a sweet crepe dessert!! They are heavenly. We ordered the banana and Nutella crepe with fresh strawberries on top. My oldest daughter licked the plate. For Maui standards the price point is quite reasonable. The eatery has both in and outdoor seating.
Following our delectable dinner, we walked up Baldwin Ave and stopped in Mana Foods. It is an exceptional whole food grocery store. A great place to stock up on speciality items. In addition to dining, Pa'ia is a splendid little trendy town to stroll around and do some shopping.
