The windsurfers are amazing! If you're a geocacher, be sure to visit.

We arrived here after coming down from haleakala, wish we had more time but caught the last hour or so of sun, this is a great place to catch some rays, really enjoyed it, saw many women surfers also got some great pictures, i mean this is what you come to hawaii for, dont see this at home. Have fun trying to park. major busy area, but worth it.

I kept stopping here and hanging out Full of surfers and sailboarders from around the world. The sailboarders are extreme. Worthy and photographic, as the shore is litter with tripods and cameras. In the water swimmers with waterproof gear are photographing them in the waves.

Remember stopping by this scenic outlook on the way to Hana back in 2003. It's a spot my kids still talk about all these years later. Back then, there was no fence and we were able to walk down to the rocks, but when we returned in Nov. 2011, they did have the area fenced off. Some with barbed wire. Still, the view was amazing. Down below you have the windsurfers and surfboarders, and up above you have the waves crashing on the black rocks. There is cattle nearby and it is a very calming scene. We drove on to Paia and did some shopping there and had lunch. Cute town, with odd but interesting people walking around.
