“Juried Show”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Lots of Art in Maui is Art in name only - incredibly bad art. The juried show had 100 items that were excellent. I didn't like everything, but it was real art, not kitchy, not slapdash, not just "pretty". It was very refreshing to see. They also were holding open studios and we goot to meet some of the artists in residence.

“A gracious place”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

The architecture and gardens have kept the feel of the early 1900's when it was build.
It is a center for the visual and performing arts and is a place of beauty, peace and the celebration of the arts.

“The Hui”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

The Hui is a great place for tourist and locals alike. At Christmas they have a wonderful Christmas display with many items from the artists from the Hui. The grounds a wonderful to walk around as well and if you have made it this far might as well tour Makawao town.

“An interesting history”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

A lovely estate home, now an Art Centre for the community. We really enjoyed the history of the house, and walking around the grounds.
