Overall, really enjoyed our 4 day stay,
Our ocean view room was fabulous, private and well appointed and comfortable.
Staff obliging as you would expect.
We would have given an excellent rating except for the following
Breakfast not flash, waited in a queue for seating....when we got in there dozens of empty tables......also had better breakfasts elsewhere.....only had breakfast there that once...not again.....PS noticed the same queue and empty tables that following morning....lift your
game guys!
One other thing ....you need to have fast FREE wi fi.......your one hour free wifi was really really slow......
All in all we had a lovely stay.
If you are in the tower don't go below eighth floor ocean view.....we were on the eighth and it was fine, even saw some whales from our window.
Lovely
So if wi fi and breakfast isn't important this is a great place

Aloha. Thank you for the positive review. Glad to read that you enjoyed the resort and had a lovely stay. I will review your feedback with our Food & Beverage Team, as we are always looking for ways to improve our services and guest experience. We have been working to improve our internet service and now offer two wi-fi options for guests. Free in-room and public area wi-fi is now available. The free service is set-up to allow for common applications such as texting, email, etc. We also have a higher speed option, which is available for a daily charge. The pay option is set-up to enable applications such as streaming video, etc. which require more bandwidth. We will continue to monitor these services and our guest feedback regarding them in our continuous effort to improve our guest's total experience. Mahalo.

If you want huge pools with slides, go further down kaanapalli. we stayed for a week in the tower. Ocean view its worth every penny. Rooms are not large but decent size. I liked the updated decor, still gives you the island view and feel. Room service is prompt and well organized. The menu stated that there was a break between lunch and dinner service, but we didn't call to see if in fact the kitchen was closed. Hopefully they are not. That would be inconvenient for the traveler.
One item of note, if you are not a good parker, opt for the$5 upcharge to valet parking. They really need to restripe the lot. They used a prius to size the lot I think.
All the staff was super friendly and always smiling. There was a slack key performance every night on the deck, and amazing sunset views. Good food for every meal. Yea you can save a few bucks for breakfasts but if you want to lounge, it has a great variety and tastes great.
The beach is one of the best on the island. We drove around trying a lot,, and this one was one of the best. Play the current, great snorkeling both right and left. If it is going left, float around the black rocks and walk thru the hotel next door to get back. Great views of turtles, fish and rays. To the right, almost down to the next tall hotel is a shallow reef that has great fish.
If they update the cottages, we'll stay there next time, but we really enjoyed our ocean view, 10th floor room

Aloha Rusty. Thank you for the 5-Star review! Glad to read that you enjoyed the peaceful, laid back ambiance of the resort and that you found the service from our associates to be super friendly. As you note, there are two excellent spots for snorkeling right off of our beautiful stretch of Kaanapali Beach (named the #1 beach in America in the TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Awards in 2013). We will look forward to welcoming you back. Mahalo.

Hotel and property are very pretty. Beach is beautiful and convenient. Food in restaurant is generally good. Restaurant staff seems frazzled and overwhelmed. Very slow service. Major complaint was large party on side lawn below our room on our last night with a rock band. We had to listen to loud music and singing and yelling for four hours. Our patio doors were closed and vibrating from the noise. The front desk gave us misinformation about when the noise would end. The manager on duty could only offer to move us to another room-we had been in our room for 7 nights at this point and had things scattered about. The priority was the party and not the guests' comfort. Not what I'm looking for after a 12 hour airplane ride. Stay elsewhere.

We chose this hotel after a great experience at their sister hotel, the Royal Kona (on the Big Island). Royal Lahaina was even better! Great beach, two pools, awesome restaurant, and lovely views, even from the "partial ocean view" room. We enjoyed our Black Rock view but the other side of the hotel also has a lovely beach view. Try to get a room at 5th floor or higher. Visited during humpback whale migration (winter) and watched them leap and play from our balcony. Super clean rooms, helpful staff, $10/night to park. Look for the "hidden" hot tub at the tennis club (accessible to hotel guests) and little pool there as well. We will return.

We are so happy that you were pleased with your choice and that you plan on returning. We will look forward to welcoming you back to both resorts. Mahalo.

We were originally booked in a garden cottage but were upgraded to a ocean view tower room! The room was beautiful and spacious! The hotel grounds are beautiful! The staff was great and service was excellent! Parking spots were tight but manageable! The breakfast buffet was good and they opened at 630 so you could get on and out to enjoy the rest of your day!

The staff here is very friendly and efficient. Everything was clean and neat. Beautiful, well-kept grounds. Excellent service. We were in a room near the outdoor pool, and beach access. Shopping is close at hand. We were able to see whales from the beach, which was incredible. We definitely would stay here again.
