Napili Point Resort

Certificate of Excellence

Napili Point has it all -- great ocean front location, excellent snorkeling on one adjacent rocky beach, and a sandy beach on the other side, walking distance to good restaurants and a short drive to others, all at a reasonable price (2 couples sharing a 2-bedroom made it very affordable). After looking at the high-rise hotels in Kaanapali, we decided we wanted something smaller and more homey with more of a Hawaiian feeling. We were so glad we found Napili Point. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a Point Ocean Front Unit - C6 - a 2 bedroom with a lanai facing west in direct view of Molokai and Lanai. The master bedroom was in a loft with the same view as the lanai. It was hard to leave the lanai in the mornings -- we'd see whales, dolphins, and even a spectacular rainbow (pack your binoculars). When we did leave, we'd either snorkel in the bay to the south where you see lots of turtles very up close or we'd walk a short way to the sandy beach at Napili Bay to hang out and swim. There was maid service every day, which is unusual in condo complexes like this. It was nice to come back to a room with the beds made and clean towels. We ate breakfast and lunch in the condo most of the time and splurged on dinners out - The Sea House, Pineapple Grill (our favorite), Sansai (sushi) - were all within a 2-10 minute drive. We did our own "happy hour" on the lanai every evening and watched the sunsets before going out. When we did eat lunch out, we'd walk to the Gazebo at an off-time (otherwise there would be an hour wait) - the portions there are huge, so we'd share one meal and it was more than enough. I would go back to Napili Point in a heartbeat -- in fact, I wish I was there right now!

Room Tip: Point Ocean Front rooms are more expensive - but we were lucky enough to get a free upgrade. All of...

We did our research and can confirm this resort was exactly what we were looking for! Not overly fancy, but priced accordingly. Excellent snorkeling / paddle boarding just out the door. We were able to see over 20 sea turtles in just over an hour while snorkeling out front. Walking distance to the Sea House & Gazebo restaurant, and the "Beach". Plenty of parking and good Wi-Fi service at no additional cost. After a month of searching for lodging on Maui, we selected Napili Point Resort and will definitely stay here when we return.
We stayed in unit #42 and it was in great condition. The bed/mattress was just "ok", but that is my only complaint! My wife left a pile of clothing on a shelf when we checked out. With 2 phone calls, the staff confirmed they had retrieved the items and mailed them back to us. Another reason to tip the maid every day! These units are excellent value and the location is as good as it gets in Maui!

Room Tip: We stayed in unit #42 and it was in great condition.

We've been coming to Napili for about 20 years, and staying at Napili Point for most of those visits. The property is beautifully landscaped and right on the ocean. There are two pools...one that kids mostly splash around in, and one that can be used more quietly for lap swimming. The condos themselves are nice, very clean, but for the most part blandly furnished. (I say this only because it might matter to some travelers, but we don't come here for the inside decorations.) The front desk folks are friendly and helpful, and show the real spirit of Aloha! We see the same happy faces here every year, makes us feel at home, like 'ohana.

Read all the other reviews for swimming and great snorkeling tips...they're accurate. We enjoy wonderful walks and hikes from right out the front door, can do loops of up to 10 miles, either by walking tame Kapalua sidewalks or hiking the wild Mahana Ridge trail.

If you're staying in Napili, and can afford Napili Point, stay here!! You'll easily make up the difference in daily rate by cooking a few nights (their BBQ grills are great) and skipping breakfasts at the Gazebo for a yummier one enjoying the view from your lanai. When you walk to the beach later and pass all the cramped and noisy condos, you'll know you picked the best place!

Room Tip: We like point-oceanfront B-level rooms for views & privacy, but they do cost more. A-level rooms...

This place was recommended to my husband and I from friends that were here earlier this year. We had the opportunity from October 19th-26th to stay here. From all of the places we were, the location is great here. The Bay is the best to snorkel because the water is really calm, and is rated one of the best spots to view sea turtles...right outside the door!! Also, you are in walking distance to other beaches, walking distance to rent snorkeling equipment, walking distance to The Gazebo restaurant, close to shopping, and Lahaina is only 12 minutes away!!!
For the condo we were in (B 38) we really enjoyed it. These condos are NOT a time share- they are individually owned, and we absolutely loved ours. The owners updated the kitchen and the bathroom, and we had a really comfy bed. It was awesome to have a full kitchen and our own washer and dryer to cut costs. Our recommendation is to research condos, and request ones that are suited for what you would want.
This place is great for couples and for families as there are 2 bedroom condo suites available.

Room Tip: *Bottom East buildings have AC due to no ocean breeze. *Condos are NOT time shared, so research/ r...

Napili Point is a special place. First of all, it's right on the water, a short distance from Napili beach. The vistas of Lanai and Molokai from the condos are simply spectacular. I stayed in unit A-19. The unit was very comfortable, well-furnished and literally right at the water's edge. You could hear the waves crashing on the rocks just below the window. The staff is friendly and helpful. Napili beach is about a 5 minute walk via the beach path or you can snorkel in the cove. Not a lot of night life around, but you can journey to Kaanapali beach or Lahaina for that, or make your own Mai Tai's and watch the sunsets. I've stayed at other condos in Napili, but this is simply the best. What a great place to spend a week.

This is our second visit to Napili Point Resort and it does not disappoint at all! This resort is far enough away from Kaanapali to be a real spot of peace and quiet.Yet, it is close enought to Kaanapali and Lahaina so that you can enjoy the stores, restaurants, attractions and night life. This visit we met several couples that are regulars - coming back for 8 to 15 years! On check-in we received an upgrade to a Point Oceanfront condo without having to ask! The view from our condo was amazing - we watched powerful waves roll in, sea turtles heading in and out of the bay, surfers riding the waves and even 2 locals catching octopi in the dark!
We like to book through the Reosrt so that if we need anything, they are right there!
We will be back again! Mahalo.
