This was at the Hyatt Regency hotel. We went to a Lu'au the last time we were in Hawaii and we sat far away from the show and it was very difficult to see so this time we opted for VIP seats. For this performance, the seating was much more intimate and we probably did not need to spend the extra money but our waiter was very good and we did not have to wait in a long line for the food. The food was much better this time, I especially liked the pork (pig roast) this time. And the show was very entertaining. I would highly recommend this show. The difference between this show and the Old Lahania Lu'au is that the Drums of the Pacific covers the much wider Polynesia area while the Old Lahaina is strictly centered around the Hawaiian culture. And the Drums of the Pacific featured "man of Fire", men twirling sticks with both ends lit. It was pretty amazing!!

Three adults and three children experience the Thanksgiving luau & paid $671 for our VIP tickets. The buffet food was average, and they included full thanksgiving food, which if I had wanted, I wouldn't have booked a luau. I was looking for more authentic Hawaiian, and of what they offered it was OK. Drinks are included in the price, but there are no blended drinks and the children couldn't have "virgin" drinks because all the flavoring is shortcutted through flavored booze. The show was OK, but they seem to be getting shorter and shorter. I much prefer the same company's production at the Hilton Waikaloa on the Big Island -- there VIPs get table service and the drinks are as expected. All of the servers were very nice and accommodating. This may be my last luau for a long time.

We visited and paid for the show through our package bought at Costco. If you go you can go to the show for free by sitting through the Hyatt timeshare presentation. The performers are awesome. The food is pretty authentic including poi - like blueberry paste. They ask for audience participation which is always fun.

Fast moving pace. Each act was quick and well introduced-- very impressed with the fast costume changes. The announcer was so professional.

Food was excellent!! The poi rolls are out of this world! There is something for everyone, many choices of food and dessert. Drinks were included in the purchase price. Our server Joe loved his job, and it showed. Everyone was helpful.
