This was my first luau and it was a great experience. The food was great, the drinks were flowing, and the staff were very friendly. The dancers were entertaining and musicians were very talented. I would recommend it if you're staying in West Maui.

Even though I didn't stay at the Hyatt, my friends got passes thanks to a local. The food was outstanding and delicious. The emcee, Tiara, was so warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and talented. We got to meet her. She keep the show upbeat and moving. The cast of dancers were talented, pulchritudinous, and riveting. We got to take photos with them. The show takes you through the different styles of dance across the South Pacific. The house band, I think the name was Tahati, were completely stellar. The hula lesson onstage was a hoot. The waitstaff was friendly. Our server, Joe, was great! They also had artisans with tables to purchase souvenirs. It was a must see in my opinion.

this luau's food was really good, thought the dessert choices were pitiful but the dancers were really good. nice decor for the venue, it is in a hotel, so if you are not staying there, it is a long walk. if you have walking issues, there is an elevator across from the stairs to the luau. if you cant walk a long way. skip this venue or ask to drive around to the luau grounds. my only complaint is we were put with a group from regis corp., they were rude and obnoxious, wouldnt shut up and kept standing up. half way through the show, they left for the bar and then came back to talk and stand in front of the rest of us trying to see the show. i rate this second in the lahaina area behind old lahaina. still a good place to go.

We attended this luau last year and were very impressed with the show and the fire dance. However, you had to be in line along the outside hotel border along the beach about an hour before check-in time to even hope to get a decent seat. The seating must hold at least 300 people, maybe more. The meal is buffet-style and the lines are awful! The food was okay. If you cannot walk long distances or stand for long periods of time, this luau is not for you. The waiters who refill your drinks at the long tables were very attentive and did a good job.
