What a wonderful place. Beautiful setting, suites, staff and food. Stayed in a 2 bed and bath with son and daughter in law. 10th floor in the "knuckle". That is the middle of the hotel. Has a larger balcony and suite.

Came prepared to buy the timeshare. But unforeseen health issues arose shortly before the trip which prevented us. Price was right and we felt like it was a good deal.

Highly recommend this to families, singles or seniors.

Stayed here through a sales promotion that required we sit through a Time Share Sales presentation (more on that later). A few thoughts:

First of all the resort itself is amazing and immaculate. We stayed in a 2 BR 2 BA unit which was modern, clean, and had a fully stocked kitchen and also an in-unit washer/dryer (which came in handy with kids). The unit has a great ocean view and an awesome lanai from which to enjoy it. The grounds are spectacular including the pool, which has a great section for children as well. The beach is picturesque and the resort has easy access to activities, shopping, and great restaurants. You cannot find a better resort with better amenities and access on Kaanapali Beach. Only negative is that the service is almost non-existent when sitting around the pool, but it wasn't really that big of a deal. If you want a drink quickly just go to the bar!!

If you're using the promotion that includes the Time Share presentation........ then BEWARE. They say it is "low pressure" but our experience was the exact opposite. It was, in a word, SLEAZY. It felt like a used car sales approach with phrases like "what do I have to do today to make you walk out an owner?" and "you really need to step up to the plate." We were quite offended at the Sales Manager who was rude, condescending, and proceeded to tell us about the many "geniuses" that he runs into during these Sales Presentations that don't buy the timeshare. He was, essentially, making fun of other guests to us and it left a really bad impression. I would think that if you were interested in purchasing a time share (don't do it!!) at the property that it should sell itself (and it really does). We did not appreciate being talked down to and repeatedly told how dumb we were for not purchasing the time share. Just a heads up so that others know what they're in store for.

Overall a great property and Maui speaks for itself. Would have given 5 stars if not for the time share issue

Room Tip: High Floors are best. "06" units are center of the building and have awesome views.

Our daughter and son-in-law were invited to the Hyatt Residence Club on Ka'anapali Beach, Maui, to listen to a presentation about the property and a sales pitch to purchase a time share. In return they were able to rent a two bedroom, two bath condo which included a kitchen, living and dining area as well as a washer and dryer. The floor plan was approximately 1400 square feet and included a fantastic lani which overlooked the property and provided an outstanding view of the ocean. It normally rents for $1200 a night but they were charged $100.00 per night and we had an absolutely fantastic week! The first unit we were taken to hadn't been cleaned so we were moved to the third floor and the manager gave us the use of a cabana for a day to make up for their mistake. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, never without a smile, polite and friendly at all times. Near the cabana was the Tiki Bar a terrific location looking out at the ocean. The bartender, Trudy, was a treasure. Not only was she terrific at her job but she has a wicked sense of humor that kept us entertained during out cocktail hour! The free Valet parking was another plus and although their are no restaurants on the property there are many along the beach within walking distance. This is truly a fantastic place to stay!

Just spend the best five days on a Maui vacation at the Hyatt Residence Club in Kaanapali/Hawaii. Our 2-bedroom/2 bath villa was absolutely stunning, luxuriously spacious and over the top equipped. All staff without exception were superb and attentive and remembered us after first encounter. Best five days of relaxation we have been able to spend in years.

We received an offer in the mail for a 90 min timeshare presentation. 6 days and 5 nights in a one bedroom suite with a private balcony - what a deal! We booked it immediately. The resort is less than a year old and most rooms come with an amazing ocean view. The one bedroom unit we got was about 1000 SF - plenty of room for two people. Beautiful kitchen and bathroom with washer/dryer included. It also has a pull out sofa bed that can sleep an additional two if needed. Everything is new, clean, and comfortable. The resort features multiple pools/hot tubs and are open 24 hours. Although there aren't any restaurants on site, you can easily walk over to Hyatt Regency for dining. Direct access to the famous Ka'anapali Beach, friendly staff, felt very private, and the best part - free valet parking. Hyatt is a great brand and they never disappoint. We would love to come back again!

Room Tip: Always ask to get upgraded to an ocean view room!
