“1st night of our trip”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

The luau was great, not crowded with too many people like bigger ones. The food was great and so was the show

“A bit above average but still, "garden variety" luau”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

The food was better than average. But I've been to 4 luaus now and, sorry, but basically---if you've seen one you've seen them....you know what I'm saying.

“Beautiful Sunset Luau”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

Maui is one of our favorite Islands in Hawaii & being able to attend this Luau at sunset
made our visit even better. The beautiful beach view was amazing ---- something out of the movies !
As we entered this Luau area we were greeted by Hawaiian Dancers who presented each person with a fresh flower lei & were offered drinks. From this point we selected our table with other travelers to continue a delightful adventure.
There were several Hawaiian demonstrations around the grounds like coconut splitting. Everyone then returned to their tables where they were called in sections to a delicious buffet with many different offerings.
Sunset was observed & the show began ---- what a nice way to send an evening !

“Show great, crowd disappointing”
Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

With a "drinks and show" option for $35 it was our first choice. This is a talented group of performers. The crowd was disappointing! Only attend this if you want to enjoy the experience - otherwise it's an insult to the performers.

“Kaanapali beach is gorgeous, food and show decent”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is a great spot for a luau - the beach is stunning. We took this luau through Celebrity excursion MA43.

To get a good spot, try to get there early. We were a bit later (one of the last buses to leave the ship pier), and did not get a good seat for the show. But, not a huge problem, you can stand off to the side and get closer for pictures or video if you want. The lineups for the washroom can get long, especially at the beginning as everyone gets there.

The highlight is the beautiful beach and watching the sunset here. Awesome pictures. I found forcing the flash on my camera gave very nice vibrant sunset shots with the family.

Once the sun sets and the show starts, they light the torches, and they have cliff divers and someone lights the torches off in the distance at the end of the beach. Again, nice photos.

The food is buffet style, and the lines are managed well. Food is ok, dessert was better. Drinks, tea, coffee all available.

The show was pretty good, the best part being the fire dancer. They call up the newly wed men for a hula dance which is funny.
