great calm and quiet beach. Lots of families and small children. Calm waters, great for little ones. Nice for swimming, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and kids learning to boogie board.

I moved to Maui from Colorado in November 2013 and being so close to the water is a real treat for me. Napili beach is my "neighborhood beach" since it's within walking distance, so I don't have the issues with parking that some of the other reviews have mentioned. If you're driving, you'll be coming in on the Lower road and the beach is tucked away from the road - the Napili Shores Resort is on one end and the Napili Kai Resort on the other end. You will probably have to park on the side of Lower road, or if you can get parking on either of the roads on the left after you pass Napili Shores. You'll walk down the street and see the little blue beach access sign. I've seen sea turtles swimming in the water there on a regular basis. Last weekend it was an unusual treat when a Hawaiian Monk Seal decided to take a nap on shore.

There is not a public bathroom or changing facility at Napili Beach - though there is one the next beach over (you can access it from the Napili Kai parking area) which is Kapalua Beach. And if you want breakfast, the Gazebo at Napili Shores is great - either plan to wait in line or call ahead and order your breakfast to go.

Napili beach is a nice calm bay to get some snorkeling in. Its a bit more protected than Kapalua beach which has a much stronger current. Parking is hard to find. Get there early when the fish are most active.

We stayed in a condo on this beach, and loved the easy access, soft sand, and wildlife in the area. Lots of turtles in the water, great views of the sunset and decent snorkeling. I even saw an ornamented octopus! Fabulous place to spend a day.

This is another great Maui beach. It is really crowded, but we were able to find parking. There is a restaurant at one end of the beach, but we did not eat there.
