“Touching, enchanting!! Must see!!”

The music was amazing as well as the cast! I am not one for theatre but enjoyed every moment .. My family and I actually wanted to see a luau. But we realized that ulalena had givin us a reminder of the purpose of family, and the understanding that in all cultures we have all lost alot but most importantly they tought us how to forgive again.

“Ulalena: a theatrical treat!”
Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

I loved this show. It was a visual and audible treat. It takes you through Hawaii's myths, legends, folklore, and some history. The performers are engaging, the band rocked, and the singers were phenomenal. I want to go back and see it again. The cast and crew even did photos and talked about the show afterwards.

“Entertaining show”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

We come to Maui often but have never attended this show. What a mistake! It is a much more Vegas style presentation than the shows at a luau, and displayed much more talent as well. We paid $10 more for a "premium seat" and I think it was worth it, but the theater is small so it's not entirely necessary. You can combine your ticket with dinner at Lahaina Grill, which we did not do as that involved a fixed menu, but it will save you some money at a very good Maui restaurant if you do that.

The voices of the actors were beautiful and the dancing was lovely. Our two children ages 10 & 13 got a little restless. Be sure to read the program before the show begins so you can follow the story.

“Best Show in Hawaii”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

If you're staying on the Island of Maui, take the opportunity to see Ulalena at the Maui Theatre in Lahaina. A beautiful musical story of the Hawaiian people. Well worth it. Read the brochure first, as it makes it easier to follow the story. The dancing is superb. Stay after the performance, the cast will come out and sit on the stage and will interact with the audience. You can make a good night of it by eating at one of the many good restuarants in Lahaina before the show. Walking distances are not far. I highly recommend this show.
