We did the 7am cruise to Molokini & Turtle Bay (Appx 5 hours) back in April 2011.

BEWARE: If you don't know how to swim or tread water...don't bother. You'll just sit there. Most importantly, you do not get to step foot on Molokini, no one is allowed to, it's protected. You swim/snorkel around it.

Pro:
+ You will see Turtles!!!
+ Friendly Staff, they won't even let you get up to get your food
+ Snuba (extra fee): you must try it @ Molokini with 80% visibility! You're attached to 10-20 foot of oxygen tube, not scary at all. Perfect w/ your underwater camera (see my pics).
+ Good music
+ Free T-shirt to first person in line when they open their store

Neutral:
~ Food was okay...nothing special I could recall
~ You must wear their floaties & shirt/jacket (really old and not attractive but who's looking?)
~ No Alcohol. Do you want to be drunk & swimming? Would it be a good idea? Hmm...

Con:
- A bit pricey but totally worth it
- Pet peeve: You MUST be barefoot (no exception, they take away your shoes/slippers/water shoes before you board)
- Restroom was small and floor was wet (extra gross when you're barefoot!)
- The gear was a tad bit old...my goggles were always getting loose & taking in sea water up your nose is NO FUN...trust me on that one

Bottom line is...we had an amazing experience trying Snuba. Snorkeling in Turtle Bay was fun but a lot of swimming & always remember to STICK WITH THE GROUP! I was pretty sore the next day so don't plan another big activity the next day.

Can't say enough GREAT things about this tour. Ours went to Lanai for the day for an all-day snorkel and sail w/ a wonderful BBQ lunch - all u can eat, the crew will keep feeding you as long as you're hungry. Speaking of the crew and Captain Gabe, man, these men and women are trained first class in customer service. From the time we were greeted and met at the harbor to the time we disembarked, the crew took care of everyone on board, always smiling and asking if we needed anything - they had juice/coffee/beverages available with an endless round of fresh fruit and pastries. YUM!!

We were lucky enough to take this tour during the whale season - totally recommend doing if possible. We saw a mother and calf breaching not far from the boat and anytime anyone saw a whale / dolphin, etc..we pointed and called out the clock location and the captain would steer us so that each side of the boat got pics -- and ALWAYS respecting the 100yd distance required and usually a little bit more out of respect for the animals!! :))

The Trilogy was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip!! Nick, Kama and the wonderful young lady whose name escapes me at the moment, and Capt. Gabe...all worked in sync with each other harmoniously. And when I had to back out of the SNUBA at the last minute due to ears not clearing -- Nick was wonderful about it and never pressured me to continue and he never made me feel bad about needing to cancel. Thank you!!

Many mahalo's to this wonderful company and crew!!
Love you guys!

Went with family and friends on 2-6-13 with Trilogy on the day trip to Lanai. A great time was had by all. The Trilogy Captain and crew obviously like their jobs and it shows in their customer service. I am an experienced snorkler but its nice to have someone there to help if needed. Lanai is beautiful island just like the rest but is certainly less crowded which was great. I highly recommend any of the Trilogy charters to anyone. The catamarans are real east on the stomach and I have yet to see anyone yet seasick on the several charters I have been on.

This is the first day trip to Lana'i with Trilogy that we've taken. This experience was possibly the best highlight of our Maui trip. Sailing on the catamaran was enjoyable as we cut through the water. Seeing the dolphins and whales come right to the boat were a special treat.

The staff of Trilogy were more than accommodating. They provided excellent hospitality and were more than helpful. They went out of their way to look after everyone, and suggested what & what not to do. We didn't have to bring much besides bathing suit, suntan lotion and a towel. Trilogy provided equipment (although we had our own), breakfast just after leaving Maui and lunch before arriving on Lana'i.

The beach was ready with sand carpets and lawn chairs for relaxing pleasure. Or the option to go snorkelling in one of the most clear waters was awesome. There was a lot of various fish, coral and we just couldn't get enough.

The bus tour of the island was very well narrated. The guide was very knowledgeable, and entertained with a joke here and there. She provided details of the culture and history of the island. She pointed out points of interest such as the jail, school house, particular businesses etc. She expressed her appreciation to have tourists explore the island and bring in some revenue.

As we ended our bus tour, we were greeted by Trilogy staff with an awesome chicken BBQ at the marina before we left Lana'i to return back to Maui. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.

If asked if we would take this trip again - the answer would most definitely be YES!

Thanks Trilogy for making this a memorable experience!

We spent Valentine's Day on the Discover Lanai tour. We have been coming to Maui every other year since 2001 and have always taken some kind of outing with Trilogy. The crew members are always personable, capable and there to make you feel safe and special. This particular tour includes whale watching, snorkeling in Manele Bay, a tour of Lanai City and a barbeque while on Lanai. It wasn't advertised, but the crew also put up the sails for most of the ride back to Lahaina and it was fantastic. The reviews this company consistently receives are well-deserved. As a heads-up, our captain did not set out a tip jar for the crew but suggested we give individual tips as we left the boat.
