The Lanai Ferry is reliable and on schedule most all of the time. They have a helpful and friendly staff. They offer many sailings a day, a time for everyones needs. Great & convenient way to get to Lanai. They offer a kama'aina discount as well.

Less than 1 hour on the old but fine ferry with both open and closed seating. Whales all around so saved on an expensive tour - not expected, but a great added benefit to the trip. Just did a turn around so I could say I had visited all the islands, and only cost $60 rt. Then off to an ice cream shop back on Maui. Fun to see many locals on board with supplies of all kinds, and backpackers.

While it is a cheap way to get to Lanai ($60 return) the ferry is old. The bathrooms smell and are tiny. Don't drink the coffee, tastes like diesel fuel.

There was no need to take a separate whale watching tour as the we counted over 30 whales coming and going on the ferry to Lanai. It was a nice 45 minute ride each way and adequate services to get you around the island. Shuttle services to the Four Seasons where we had a nice ATV ride into the mountains and then shuttle to downtown for a lunch and a bit of shopping. It was a nice way to see this little known island. We hopped the 2pm ferry and were back in Maui by 3pm in time for a nice dinner.
