Christmas lights were strung on the trees. A great stroll in the evening! Surrounding area awesome spot for shopping and dinner out!

This 140-year old Banyan tree is an impressive sight to behold. It's numerous branches stretch out like octopus arms across a city block. An example of Mother Nature at her finest. Should not be missed if you're visiting or just passing through Lahaina.

Banyan Tree Park in downtown Lahaina is incredible. The tree is absolutely HUGE and sprawling. I've never seen anything like it. I'd guess it covers like 1/4 acre under it's canopy... maybe more. It's a great place to rest on the benches, eat a bite and take a break from shopping or the sun. The courthouse historic building also has really nice, clean bathrooms and is right there in the park.

This tree is absolutely amazing, never seen anything like it, big public parking nerby and a lot of restaurants.

The Banyan tree takes up and entire block in Lahaina town. It looks prehistoric!! I was there in December and they even took the trouble to string it with giant colored lights. It looked like a circus tent!! It's a great photo op, and it's surrounded by shops and restaurants so it's easy to simply stroll by and take it all in. No major travel involved :)
