We went twice as we shopped in downtown...once on Saturday while they had local artist around...really neat. Then again during the week...a lot quieter

There were approximately 50 vendors (local artist) set up under the Banyon Tree and we bought many gifts to bring home for family and for us too. This tree covers an entire block. We've never seen anything like it, ever. It was so massive and really very unique.

This tree is unbelievable as it is just one huge tree that takes up an entire block. There is also a market held under the tree - not much.

It is amazing how this banyan tree grows in and out of itself and it is absolutely huge. Try to be at the park at sunset. Not only will you see an awesome sunset but also the Myna birds come to roost in the tree and go crazy from just before dusk until the sun has set, then almost instantaneously they are quiet. On weekends there are vendors selling arts & crafts. The park isn’t much but there are lots of benches to sit, relax and do some people watching as well as watch the boats come in & out of the marina. The big attraction is the tree itself which makes it a must see!

This marvelous tree is so unique, just a stroll under its masive limbs is great fun for all. Good shade on a sunny day in paradise, too.
