Description: In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair. Plantation workers gathered in the fields for their mid-day meal. The Japanese laborers would bring teriyaki beef with rice and pickled vegetables. Seated next to them might be their Filipino neighbors with the traditional dish adobo or perhaps a pork or chicken stew. The Koreans had their kalbi or marinated ribs and the Chinese a rice noodle and vegetable dish called chow fun. Hawaiians were known for their kalua pig, roasted in an underground oven called an imu. It wasn't long before they began to share their foods with one another and the "mixed plate" was born. Aloha Mixed Plate features true "Local" traditional plate lunches with open air seating directly on the ccean. We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

This place we found right on the ocean on Front St. was great. The location, food, service and prices were all very good. We ended up coming back 3 times. If you're looking for good food at fair prices and great location, try Aloha Mixed Plate.

This was a great place to try a little bit of everything. We started with the Furikake (seaweed) Garlic Fries and they were great. Don't let the seaweed scare you. It has a very mild flavor. We got the aloha plate(fresh fish, shoyu chicken, and teriyaki beef), kalua pork, and lomi lomi salmon. The shoyu chicken and teriyaki beef were delicious!! We would definitely get those again. The pork and fish were a little under seasoned, but with a little soy sauce were good. The lomi lomi salmon was not really either of our thing so I don't know if it was good compared to others. The service was very good. Overall, we would go back again. Like I said, its a good place to try some new things at a reasonable price.

I love, love, love this restaurant and go here almost every night I'm in Maui. The traditional hawaiian food is great and the prices are unbelievable. Ocean front, outdoor dining for less than you would pay for similar food in a strip mall. It's owned by the same company that does the Old Lahaina Luau next door and I'm pretty sure they share kitchen space and some of the food is the same. Service is usually pretty good too. I get the kalua pork and douse it with siracha sauce. Yum!

Loved this restaurant. We had lunch and dinner. The food was wonderful and the view was just as good. It is beautiful at dinner with the lights and tiki lamps. The sauces and the meats were very tasty.

We had a decent table with a view of the water. The coconut shrimp was hot, crunchy, and not too sweet, perfect! My wife and I both ordered the Aloha Mixed Plate which gave us a flavorful sampling of the chicken, fish, and beef. Our server was friendly and attentive. If we had stayed longer on Maui, we would have chosen Aloha Mixed Plate again. Great place!
