Description: In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair. Plantation workers gathered in the fields for their mid-day meal. The Japanese laborers would bring teriyaki beef with rice and pickled vegetables. Seated next to them might be their Filipino neighbors with the traditional dish adobo or perhaps a pork or chicken stew. The Koreans had their kalbi or marinated ribs and the Chinese a rice noodle and vegetable dish called chow fun. Hawaiians were known for their kalua pig, roasted in an underground oven called an imu. It wasn't long before they began to share their foods with one another and the "mixed plate" was born. Aloha Mixed Plate features true "Local" traditional plate lunches with open air seating directly on the ccean. We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Restaurant is in a nice setting with lots of freeparking-big deal in Lahaina. Food was just average-several meat dishes with rice and mac salad. Prices are very reasonable. If you want to have simple, but not exceptional, mixed plate at cheap (for Lahaina) cost- you should certainly give this a try.

This was a nice change from the traditional tourist places to eat. Local food that was fantastic. We split a house salad, with local grown greens and a thai noodle dish total bill $18. We will hit this place again on our next visit.

The food here is a little bit off the beaten path for a meat and potatoes guy like me but it's still pretty good but the bottom line is, I go for the mai-tai's. More importantly, this may be the cheapest place for a full family to eat in Lahaina.

Aloha Mixed Plate was suggested to us by our concierge as a place to try "local food"
We ordered the coconut prawns as an appetizer. We also ordered The Aloha Mixed Plate which included shoyu chicken, fresh fish of the day..(ono) and teriyaki beef. We also tried a small order of the Lau Lau. Everything was good and plentiful. You definitely can share. The drinks were reasonably priced and the service was good.
