Description: In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair. Plantation workers gathered in the fields for their mid-day meal. The Japanese laborers would bring teriyaki beef with rice and pickled vegetables. Seated next to them might be their Filipino neighbors with the traditional dish adobo or perhaps a pork or chicken stew. The Koreans had their kalbi or marinated ribs and the Chinese a rice noodle and vegetable dish called chow fun. Hawaiians were known for their kalua pig, roasted in an underground oven called an imu. It wasn't long before they began to share their foods with one another and the "mixed plate" was born. Aloha Mixed Plate features true "Local" traditional plate lunches with open air seating directly on the ccean. We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Great place to get breakfast or lunch- and much cheaper than most restaurants in Maui. Id recommend their stir fry dishes and anything with pork for breakfast- for sure! I ate their twice during my stay

I really loved Aloha Mixed Plate. The food was perfect proportion and not overwhelming. We went for lunch and it was very affordable. I liked sitting in the sun, eating local food. So much fun. Crowded, though.

Very low key. Food was good. Glasses of wine need to be filled to the top (small glasses to begin with). Food was good. Not the most exciting fare on the island, but affordable and good for kids. It is on the other side of the wall from Old Lahaina Luau, so you do here the commotion of the show.

We had a quick breakfast here and ordered the locomoco just for the heck of it. I've had it before elsewhere and it was as good as you can expect for rice, hamburger patty, eggs and gravy. Filling, warm, and some good aloha service. Charming outdoor plate lunch location on the water with a great view. Breakfast for two with coffee and tip under $25 bucks. Eat like a local and go.

Breakfast was so excellent that we went two days in a row. No wait, no lines unlike many places along the beach. Great view, friendly staff, and outstanding food. Just loved it.
