So we were going to go to Gazebo's, but the wait was an hour. Someone at our restaurant suggested Koa's. Said it was owned by the same people.
What a gem this place is. We had breakfast there twice during our stay. So yes, it's good. Portions are huge. Kids portions are huge also. What a find this place is to not have to wait in line at Gazebo's.
Staff was great and attentive also. Nice views.

Walked over for breakfast on Sunday morning after mass at Maria Lanikala off Dickenson. Was looking forward to trying this spot since it is owned by the same people who run The Gazebo in Napili which we LOVE. We were seated right overlooking the water. The views were breathtaking! Warm breeze kissed our cheeks while we sipped Guava and POG mimosas. Delightful. We order the Big Kahuna Omelet and the Banana Macadamia Nut Pancakes. Mu Husband and I split these (and told our waiter we were planning to do this). He brought a plate for us to divvy up the food ourselves. The food was good, but not spectacular. But, having the bar to add mimosa's for breakfast and a wonderful over the water table .... it made for a very good meal. THAT BEING SAID - is Koa as good as The Gazebo? No. We ventured up to the Gazebo our last day in Maui and waited in line for 55 minutes. But, the pancakes were TWICE the thickness and very fluffy little clouds of yumminess and the omelet was bursting with flavor all the way through. (We told the waitress we were going to split these and when the food was brought to our table, the omelet has been split in half on 2 separate plates each with half the potatoes and half the toast!) I don't understand why the food is so much better at the Gazebo ... but there is a marked difference. I still recommend Koa and would like to try them or lunch or dinner. But, if you are looking for an awesome breakfast .... head up to The Gazebo. Come back to Koa for lunch or dinner.

We stopped here for lunch. Great ocean view. It was the day after 4th of July so I think our waiter was a little exhausted so he seamed disinterested. The food was not bad and the lunch prices reasonable.

There is only one word to describe this restaurant and its, Perfect! From the food, service, atmosphere to the breath taking view, everything is absolutely flawless. We were there for the Fourth of July and the fireworks were right there in front of us in the Pacific Ocean! It doesn't get any better.

The menu offers a variety of fresh fish prepared several delicious ways one of which called Koa style which includes crabmeat on top of the fish covered in a delicious lobster based sauce. Yum! My wife has a gluten allergy and this was no obstacle for the chef. He was able to prepare any dish on the menu that she wanted with no issues. For anyone with a gluten allergy, this is your place, look no further. If you are planning a trip to Maui, you need to visit this restaurant at least once, if you don't you will regret it. This establishment is destined to be a Maui gem. In the words of Siskel and Ebert, I give this two thumbs way up!!!

Make sure you stop by, you'll be glad you did.
