Description: Right on the water and in the heart of historic Lahaina, Kimo’s brings you and your o’hana (Hawaiian for family) a casual, completely Maui dining experience. Renowned our “postcard” views of Lanai and Molokai, we offer a menu featuring fresh Hawaiian fish, prime rib, prime steaks and the original Hula Pie, Kimo’s has been a Maui must-do for over 30 years. The upstairs main dining room shows the architectural influence of New England on the former whaling port, with koa-lined walls, missionary-style furnishings and maritime memorabilia. After dinner, Kimo’s lanai becomes a very cool hotspot for tropical cocktails and Hawaiian music. Live entertainment is offered on weekends and select week nights.

Literally right on the water--although there are several restaurants in Lahaina that have the same location. We went into about 4 restaurants on the water and decided to try Kimo's. Happy we did. Had great service and a very good meal looking out over the ocean on a gorgeous day.

Hubby and I were told by a friend to go have Hula Pie at Kimos because of the pie and the great view. So, we did!! And, our friend was right! The view was spectacular!! So was the pie!! It's huge!! You can definitely sure it with one person, even two!!

We did, however, have a 45 minute wait. And we went at about 2 PM on a weekday!! The service was not that great, either. The girl up front that took reservations was rather snooty and seemed a bit ticked that we came in just for the pie. Our actual waitress was a bit friendlier thank goodness. I don't know if I could have handled two snotty servers. Anyhow, don't let this keep you from Kimos...give the wait and the pie a try. You'll see why. =)

Happy hour Mai Tai's for $5. Great sunset views from the bar or upstairs lanai restaurant. Get there just before 5:00 to get a front row seat for lanai dinner. We had and excellent roast beef (after 10 days of fish). Their Hula pie, macadamia nut ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream is enough dessert for a family of four.

I love this place right on the beach and very romantic for couples! Make sure you get a seat overlooking the ocean! They had a live band, great lava flows and excellent prime rib! The service was very good too and don't forget their Hula Pie which is to die for if you are an icecream lover! What more can you ask for! It was the place to go to on Front Street and very busy. Enjoy, I didi!

Good location in centre of town. Nice wine list. Good service. Nice setting. Food disappointing - fish dry and ribs/chicken over dressed.
