Description: Right on the water and in the heart of historic Lahaina, Kimo’s brings you and your o’hana (Hawaiian for family) a casual, completely Maui dining experience. Renowned our “postcard” views of Lanai and Molokai, we offer a menu featuring fresh Hawaiian fish, prime rib, prime steaks and the original Hula Pie, Kimo’s has been a Maui must-do for over 30 years. The upstairs main dining room shows the architectural influence of New England on the former whaling port, with koa-lined walls, missionary-style furnishings and maritime memorabilia. After dinner, Kimo’s lanai becomes a very cool hotspot for tropical cocktails and Hawaiian music. Live entertainment is offered on weekends and select week nights.

“Expected more”
Reviewed April 24, 2012

We were looking forward to visiting Kimo's because we had been here before. Seeing as it was dinner time and we were hungry, we asked to be seated upstairs. All the deck tables were already occupied, so we sat in the covered area. Our server brought our drinks quickly and for dinner we had the fish of the day and the steak. Both were just ok and not noteworthy at all. Not what we were expecting at all based on our previous meals.

Service was great though, and our server was very pleasant. The restaurant was very loud, and was added to by a large family with about six kids under 5 years old running around screaming, playing, etc. Not really what we expect when we're spending more than $100 for dinner. We quickly paid the bill and got the heck outta there.

To add insult to injury we had to make a quick pit stop on the way back to the hotel due to a 'bad tummy', which I can only attribute to the meal.

We likely won't be returning to this restaurant in Lahaina.

“Fun to watch them cook your dinner”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

The food here is very good, portions are very large, had leftovers the next day and it did taste a bit salty the next day. The fried rice is extra yummy. The chefs offer great entertainment!

“"MAUI NO KO OI"”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

We have been visiting Maui for too many years to count But the one thing that we can count on is a trip or to the Kimo's Restaurant on Front Street in Lahaina. The service is always great... when they tell you that they will call you in 23 minutes, they call you in 23 minutes!

The food is always great our favorite is Mahi Mahi baked with a creamy ginger sauce. And of course the carrot muffins and Caesar salad that comes with the meal are always a hit with our family.

“Great Food, Great View”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

Wandered in here soon after 3pm - just as happy hour started. Had fabulous calamari coated in macadamia nuts (yes I thought so too, until I tried them) and some local 'Lavaman' beer.
Nice atmosphere and decor. Staff very friendly and the view out to sea is superb. Would definitely go back for an evening meal.
