Each week we feature renowned slack-key guitarists and other Hawaiian musicians (sometimes ukulele, falsetto, or steel guitarists) to share traditional Hawaiian Music with you. Mahalo and hope we will see you at the show!

We were told about the show by a clerk at the place we were staying who at the same time recommended dinner at the restaurant on the grounds where the show was taking place. Dinner was fabulous and the sunset view was a show unto itself. The Music of the Slack Key Guitar was amazing with truely great musicians who had a feeling of Ohana between them that melted into the audience!! We have been to Hawaii many times and will go back again for the evening as well as dinner. Only down side was that by the end of the evening the chairs were less than comfortable.

Whenever I am in Maui I go to this show week after week. It's never redundant, nor has it gotten old to me. So much that is Hawaii is in it's music, and I really feel the connection when I attend the Slack Key Show. Amazing music, and musicians!

I've been introduced to so many wonderful musicians, and dancers through this venue; Sterling is always amazing, the Ukulele Boyz are awesome, George is always so grassroots, and always feels like "coming home", and Nathan was my last experience there - what a beautiful voice, and talented musician! Oh, and Keoki has been such a treat too!

Really so much of what Hawaii is about is right here in this wonderful intimate venue! Get there early for front row seats, but they're all good!

George is the real thing. He has several Grammy awards. He heads the Hawaiian music program at the University of Hawaii, and mentors many young musicians. George showcases the best current and up and coming musicians for his Slack Key show. If you want to hear what's happening in modern and traditional Hawaiian Music, the Slack Key Show is the place.

Someone said that coming to see George's Slack Key show was like listening to masters of the slack key in the intimacy of their back yard. Actually, it even better because of the great sound system and comfortable room. We have been many times and enjoy it every time we go. The music is outstanding with the regulars and George. The guests like Ledward Kaapana or Kimo West are incredible. The music is great, but the show is about experiencing "aloha". The stories, the banter, the humor and especially the closing sing along are how you experience aloha. If you enjoy music this is a wonderful show, if you love Hawai'i and music this is a special experience. You deserve to understand aloha while you are on Maui.

Went for the Guitar, and was not disappointed. One of the performers was warming up when they let people in the door, so got pre-show entertainment. The guest guitarist was great, and in the second half the 5 guitarists jammed and even took requests from the audience.
