We came with our twenty-something "kids" looking for an authentic musical experience and we got it. As luck would have it we were there for Jan 2nd and the Ukelele Boys first CD launch - got in at a deep discount and came away with signed CDs from most of the participants. The Uke Boys were in fine spirit....and their whole families were there. It almost made me feel like we were listening in on a family concert....great family togetherness shared that night.
Really amazed what kind of sound you can get out of a ukelele and these guys didn't play just "traditional" Hawaiian songs...they also did more contemporary songs in a Hawaiian way. And the speed at which they strum was amazing too. Great entertainment!

These are people who get together on Wednesdays- and do what they love - play slack key. it's not a flashy show - it's musicians who get together - and showcase someone that night - and others play. Might not be everyone's thing - but for us it was great to have those moments of musicians playing from the heart. The music can be slow, spiritual, fun or hopping, traditional or modern. We were glad we went.

Highly recommend - the real deal! Hawaiian slack key artists, hula dancers, informal, great music.....this is NOT a big fancy hotel type show - just a stage, folding chairs in rows, and real artists sharing the music they love. Don't miss.

We visit Maui a few times each year and we always go to the Slack Key Show in Napili. If you are a fan of Slack Key or any type of Hawaiian music you simply can't miss this show. If you don't know anything about Hawaiian music, forget anything else, this is the real deal genuine Hawaiian music.

George and his son Keoki are amazing, and the Uke Boys are always fun. They will have a different guest each Wednesday, we have seen Jeff Peterson, Ledward Kaapana to name a few. These are the top people in slack key! All in one place!!

The Slack Key Show at the Napili Kai is a must for my wife and I. We go every time we are in Maui. The shows are on Wednesday nights and the show for the money is off the charts! The venue is not the greatest but you won't care once the show begins. The music is just fantastic. For the money you can not beat this show. If you enjoy Hawaiian music put the Slack Key Show on your must do list when in Maui.
