Owner description: Maui Dragon Fruit Farm is a USDA certified organic farm located in West Maui about five minutes from Lahaina. The main crop at this gorgeous farm is dragon fruit and the main dragon fruit season is July thru November. But they also grow bananas, papayas, pineapples, sugarcane, tropical flowers and more. The grounds and views are spectacular and are available for private events and wedding. Maui Dragon Fruit Farm is open to the public and run tours daily. Their guided walking farm tours are a wonderful way to learn about dragon fruit and the other tropical plants they grow and gain insights on organic farming and sustainability on Maui. If you are looking for something new and exciting, Paradise Eco-Adventures runs daily adventure tours at the Maui Dragon Fruit Farm. These tours include zip lining, rolling in the aquaball and an integrated farm tour. Since zipline and aquaball activity participants only need to be five years old and weigh less than 250 pounds to do our super fun activities, these adventure tours are great for families traveling with younger kids.

I took my daughters, 7 and 10, today. What an incredible time!!! They loved the zipline and were ecstatic about the Aquaball! They had great fun experimenting with those activities AND learned all about dragon fruit and sugar cane. They were fantastic and flexible about everything. it was also one of the most amazing stunning ocean views I have ever seen of Maui. I HIGHLY recommend it!

My two sons, ages 9 and 13, and I visited the Dragon Fruit Farm in July 2012. Having been to Maui several times, we must proclaim this a must do activity. My boys are used to adventure and just recently returned from ziplining in Costa Rica. They had so much fun with the zipline and aquaball here. The pace is perfect to allow you to enjoy the entire adventure. The zipline was fast and the boys enjoyed hanging upside down. After ziplining, we went to the aquaball and have never seen anything like it before. You're enclosed in a huge ball with water and rolled down a hill. My boys couldn't get enough of it and neither could I. We then got a tour of the farm and the opportunity pick and taste some tropical treats. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Maui and we look forward to returning. The hotel activity coordinators don't seem to know or promote this place, but don't let that deter you.
