Clean enough, but ancient! Antique 100 lb. TV (you know...the ones that are two feet deep), wall mounted AC, worn and dirty carpet...RIGHT on the highway..(noisy)..not on the beach side...About 10 minutes above Lahaina...I'm thinking...gosh...might as well not be in Hawaii, as this certainly is not a vacation resort! The bed is average, bedding is below average, and uncomfortable pillows. Definitely not my idea of a vacation spot. More like an above average Motel 6 "suite"....

We visited Kahana Falls in October. Resort staff are very helpful and friendly. Resort is quiet and peaceful. Amenities are limited. Lovely natural pool, but water was cold , and we observed that few used the pool.
We were assigned a 1 bedroom unit . We found that it was too small and confined to meet the needs of three adults. We paid for an upgrade to a larger unit.
Beach across from Hotel was lovely and very accessible. Nice for sitting to watch sunsets in evening.
Overall the resort presents as old-fashioned and somewhat dated, but friendly staff and good location tended to compensate for any limitations.
Excellent local grocery store within a five minute drive from resort.
Overall, a nice , quiet place to stay in Maui.

Room Tip: Be aware that resort is old-fashioned and rooms are small. Enjoy beach across from resort. Was not informed that we could have access to hotel facilities in resort on beachside.

We stayed at Kahana Falls for Halloween in Lahaina. The resort was completely sold out! I have stayed in an A unit, a B unit and the 2brm A/B unit. I have to write in response to the recent negative review. Unfortunately the review was based on misinformation. Unit 216B is not a 1bdrm unit. It is a hotel unit and based on the rest of the review that is what they got. Kahana Falls' 2brm units are listed as BOTH A and B. The 1bdrm suite is the A unit and then the B unit is a hotel room "lock-off". Kahana Falls has a mailing address of Lahaina, it is not close to downtown but Lahaina goes all the way north including the Maui Brewing Company. Kahana Falls is not on the beach it is across the street. Kahana Falls has made access arrangements with the hotel across the street so you have access. It is not a problem. Yes the hotel room you had with coffee maker, fridge, table and chairs as well as koi pond, bbq's, pool and no parking charges may be smaller than Motel 6 but heavens you are in Hawaii! Kahana Falls is not a 5-star resort, but not everyone can afford that and such a negative review is not fair to the property nor your fellow travelers.

Room Tip: The top floors have a better view. Betty at the concierge desk is great!

I recently returned from a vacation on Maui,

For our 2nd week, we were booked into the Kahana Falls Resort on a piggy back time share owned by a relative. The rooms we were allocated were both listed as 1 bedroom suites.

We checked in and then checked out within an hour. (Suite 216B)
The resort is NOT located in Lahaina. It is north of Kanapaali, over 10 miles away from Lahaina.
Beach access is a problem.
I have stayed at Motel 6 locations that had larger space.
The door into the suite hit the bed.
The small en- suite fridge opened and hit the bed.
The bed head was not properly attached to the wall and were covered in a thick layer fo dust.
If the small table and 2 chairs by the door were not properly positioned, the door to the outside could not shut, or open correctly. This is a serious safety hazard.
The swimming pool is a joke. I have seen fish ponds that were bigger.

The place in bad need of upgrading and perhaps a bit of truth in advertising.
Perhaps other rooms are fine, but the one we were given was appalling

This place should be avoided. If you have a time share there, try seeling it. It will not be easy.

Fortunately, we were able to return to the condo we stayed at in Kihei during our first week.
I would recommend Hale Kamaole in Kihei to anyone.

Went to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday with her and my three sisters. Plenty of room for everyone. Beautiful room, great pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Such a restful and wonderful place to stay.
