There are few beaches on the big island that are open without a lot of rocks. Hapuna beach is the best on the big island. Kaanapali beach is on maui island and is by far the biggest and most beautiful!

We were brought here by our in-laws. Each morning & each evening were picture perfect.
Loved viewing ocean, hearing waves, walking along beach, & splashing around in the ocean! Great boat rides are available.

This was my third time to this beach and I have enjoyed each visit. Plenty of space to enjoy. Good fish and some coral right offshore for snorkeling pleasure. Light waves for fun but not so much that you can't enjoy the beach without being an expert swimmer. Whales easily visible from the beach in winter.

Swim tan whale watch all from one spot. Wish it was flatter for walking, but that is its only downside.

Perfect to snorkel on your on or with a group. Just perfect to do whatever water sport one enjoy doing including just siting on the bank looking at the water and relaxing. This is a gorgeous beach. It's worth traveling from around the world to come to this beach!
