The water is perfect, so blue and perfect. We loved the clean beach, it is impossible not to enjoy yourself when you are in paradise.

We parked at the Whaler's Village. We got there early (7 am) and there was plenty of parking. We wanted to snorkel at Black Rock, so when you enter the beach from the mall, take a right. It is good walk to get there (1/2 mile or so) so be prepared. The snorkeling is great. We saw a sting ray swim right under us, as well as many colorful fish that were very friendly. The tide took us out pretty deep without even noticing. It was a little more difficult getting back in due to the tide and the fact that when you looked up you looked directly into the sun, early in the morning. Less experienced snorkelers could get disoriented. Be careful and snorkel with a friend. If you buy something at the village, they will validate your parking for 3 hours. We only stayed for 3 hours so we parked for free. All day parking cost $40. Overall a nice clean beach with lots to do.

Nice visibility, great snorkeling, warm water, nice, clean sand, mild breezes and beautiful sunsets makes this beach one of the best.

Great sandy beach and views. Be careful (as always) of the coral outcroppings further out and the lateral current is strong too. Not crowded at all during the times we were there.

This is my second time to be in Maui and been dreaming of this beach since we were there last. Awesome beach, lots of activities...you can swim, some are sailing, the Whaler's Village was just next to it so what is there not to love.
