My sweetheart and I spent the week of Thanksgiving at the valley isle resort in unit 109.
The condo is comfortably decorated, has all the essentials and is very well kept. Everything was in working order, clean and nice. It is a wonderful place for a couple to stay.
The ground floor unit meant we could walk right out the patio door and on to the beach to snorkel with the sea turtles or lay in the sun.
We liked being able to walk to the little markets for odds and ends instead of having to go to the grocery any time we needed something. We also liked being able to walk to the Maui brewing company and other shops if we didn't feel like driving and didn't want to cook.
We were warned of the construction after the fire that has been going on. So, we were prepared for it. For us the biggest change was the temporary walk way was not so beautiful going past the pool to get to the condo, but the unit itself was far enough from the construction to where we did really notice it much otherwise.
We would stay here again in a heart beat.

A few things about Valley Isle, there are whole owned units that owner rent and Wyndham andVacation Internationale also own units here. We stayed in a Vacation Internationale unit. The units do not have AC so keep that in mind if your coming in the hot humid months. We were fine with the windows open and the fans going. We were very comfortable.

The units were a good size and there is a Murphy bed in the living room. We slept on that and it was great to hear the ocean at night. The kitchen is well equipped and has a dishwasher. We also used the BBQ's by the pool. The unit also has a washer and dryer so that was very convienient.
We stayed in unit 1002.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor for a great view.

We have been staying at Valley Isle for many years and were very satisfied. Unfortunately, this year, when we stayed late October, we noticed that it was starting to go downhill. The condo owners, who live there, full time, were quite vocal about their displeasure on what had happened since the fire.
We were actually more inconvenienced this trip, than last year. 1/3 of the pool area was partioned off. Also, they were doing concrete work and painting, so it was loud and messy.
The condo, itself #809, was still great! The DVD player didn't work, so I sent an email to the owner, just to let him know (not expecting anything to be done). He sent out someone and the unit was replaced promptly.

We booked this room #507 through Rick Rose from his website called Discount Timeshare Rentals and got a great bargain. We had a studio which was as large as some 1 bedrooms I have had. It had a Murphy bed which turned out to be really comfortable despite my initial doubts. But the best part of it all was the amazing view from the Lanai. Straight across to Molokai and distant views of Oahu. I just loved waking up and opening the curtains to be greeted by that amazing view. Now the unit is actually in Kahana not Lahaina which means that retsaurants are limited there. Howveer as we had a rental car we had no problem travelling around the island. There has been a fire at the resort earlier this year and some construction work is going on but it caused us only minor concerns. Would definitely stay again.
The amazing thing was one day my wife was down on the beach and got chatting to alovely couple and eventually found out that it was Rick and his wife whom we hd rented our unit from. Another caswe for a small world!! Lovely couple they turned out to be as well.

We stayed the month of September 2013 at Valley Isle #1206 and enjoyed every minute - great experience. Overall, the unit is as it appears, basic, but clean, everything was functioning as it should. The views are spectacular as are the sandy beach and the turtles. Very convenietly located to bars, restaurants and shops. Everyone was very friendly and we met many repeat guests.

Right on the beach, only perk. Service sucked, you can only change your towels in once during your stay! Room was filthy, dust everywhere! Little tiny ants all over the carpet! Rude front desk, dirty rooms, and they want me to do laundry while on vacation, no thanks!!! Did I mention there is no air conditioning in the rooms...

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We are disappointed to hear your interaction with the resort staff did not meet your expectations. We know that while on vacation it is important to be treated well. We also apologize for any housekeeping concerns you experienced during your visit. Our goal is to make each guest feel at home with a kitchen and laundry. Because we have condo-style resorts, certain “hotel” amenities such as daily housekeeping and concierge do not exist. Please also be advised many resorts in this area use trade winds instead of air conditioning to cool the units. We strive to provide this information to the guest through our website, pre-arrival letter and confirmation letter. We apologize for any confusion and will work to better communicate this through additional channels in the future. We are sorry for your experience and greatly value your feedback.

Recently stay in Valley Isle Resort unit #1206 and absolutely loved it!
Everything was just as the owner said it would be. View was fantastic and the beach was very enjoyable. I would definitely go again and stay with this owner as this was a great value and very reliable experience!

Room Tip: This unit faces directly to the west, greats sunsets and views of islands lanai and Molokai.
