We stayed the month of September 2013 at Valley Isle #1206 and enjoyed every minute - great experience. Overall, the unit is as it appears, basic, but clean, everything was functioning as it should. The views are spectacular as are the sandy beach and the turtles. Very convenietly located to bars, restaurants and shops. Everyone was very friendly and we met many repeat guests.

Right on the beach, only perk. Service sucked, you can only change your towels in once during your stay! Room was filthy, dust everywhere! Little tiny ants all over the carpet! Rude front desk, dirty rooms, and they want me to do laundry while on vacation, no thanks!!! Did I mention there is no air conditioning in the rooms...

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We are disappointed to hear your interaction with the resort staff did not meet your expectations. We know that while on vacation it is important to be treated well. We also apologize for any housekeeping concerns you experienced during your visit. Our goal is to make each guest feel at home with a kitchen and laundry. Because we have condo-style resorts, certain “hotel” amenities such as daily housekeeping and concierge do not exist. Please also be advised many resorts in this area use trade winds instead of air conditioning to cool the units. We strive to provide this information to the guest through our website, pre-arrival letter and confirmation letter. We apologize for any confusion and will work to better communicate this through additional channels in the future. We are sorry for your experience and greatly value your feedback.

Recently stay in Valley Isle Resort unit #1206 and absolutely loved it!
Everything was just as the owner said it would be. View was fantastic and the beach was very enjoyable. I would definitely go again and stay with this owner as this was a great value and very reliable experience!

Room Tip: This unit faces directly to the west, greats sunsets and views of islands lanai and Molokai.

Stayed 10 days the first of September 2013 in unit 604, 6th floor corner unit. The 12 story complex is on the beach facing the island of Lanai. It has one bedroom one bath. This unit has an unobstructed 180 degree Ocean view. Every sunset is a picture perfect event from within the condo or on the lanai. Each evening you'll have the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep. The unit is equipped with all the amenities including living room and bedroom flat screen TV and stereo in the front room. The unit upgrades and condition are guaranteed to satisfy you during your stay. The bathroom has a shower and vanity area with hair dryer for your use. The pool is fairly small but ample for the size of the complex and offers a refreshing swim in the afternoon. The pool/barbecue area is cleaned daily with several lounge chairs for hanging out. The grounds maintenance and surrounding greenery are well cared for daily. Valley Isle is just a few miles North of Kaanapali Beach and about a 15 minute drive to Lahaina. There are mini stores close by but a 5 minute drive South gets you to a super market (Times Supermarket) where you'll find whatever you are looking for at reasonable local prices. There is a McDonalds around the corner if you are wanting a fast food fix.The parking at the complex is large and close to the main entrance with easy in/out access. The management also provides carts to help with transporting whatever you need from the parking lot to your condo. This complex is centrally located on the North West shore of Maui and with the amenities and freedom in my opinion is far superior to stays in the hotels. This will be my first choice when we return. One last thought: All of the damage to the adjacent property from last years fire is long gone. There will eventually be some rebuilding on that site but it shouldn't detract from the many things Valley Isle Resort has to offer.

Room Tip: Corner units offer the best vistas. I prefer 5th floor and above for the view. The elevator system i...

Came back again to visit what we feel is our little piece of paradise. The sunsets are just spectacular either from our lanai or from the beach. Hawaiian air conditioning is no better. Swimming here is great. Gear can be rented right across the street. This trip found trigger fish, trumpet fish, eel and many more. Sea turtles swim close by all day. One decided to beach during the day and it was so cool to see one of these animals up close. Figured she came up for a nap and work on the tan. Cannot wait to come back again.

We were in Maui for our daughters wedding. We stayed in Unit 1010 for about 2 weeks. We loved it. We are from Texas so the thought of no AC was frightening but I have to say the winds blowing through kept it very nice. The view from this unit is incredible. Tenth floor up and right on the ocean. We saw sea turtles everyday. We also saw stingrays swimming by. The condo had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable. Yes, there is construction going on. The noise never started before 8:30-9:00 and at times in the middle of the day it was a little loud. However, we were not there to sit in our room so it never really bothered us. The beach area was never crowded and it was peaceful. Grocery store just 1 1/2 - 2 miles down the road. Farmers Market about 1 mile down the road. The pineapple in Maui is awesome. There are several places to eat in walking distance. I would certainly go back and I would stay in unit 1010. Going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean is priceless. Waking up to see the ocean right in front of you is a memory worth keeping. The sunsets from this unit are amazing! Thank you for our wonderful vacation. Bill and Susan

We had to shorten our stay at this resort although we were on the tenth floor of the resort, the sandblasting in our direct purview. There were no afternoon naps allowed since the noise was horrendous. This has a lot of potential for a beautiful venue. One highlight after the noise stops at 5:30pm, a very large sea turtle was spotted on our beach. Amazing creatures!! We were a little shy of services. I felt sorry for the office staff who were housed in one of the units on the bottom floor. What is so disappointing was the fact that this reservation was made a year ago. I will compliment WorldMark for letting us move to Kihei without any additional charges. Bring good earplugs if you stay here. We asked when this renovation would be completed but the office had no date. As I said before the view was gorgeous and we did have a remodeled unit. We are on our way out of here none to soon. Thanks for accommodating our headache relief. A word of advice: try to plan all your activities between 9-5.

VIR-Rental-Owners, Owner at Valley Isle Resort, responded to this reviewResponded March 21, 2014

We just want to take this opportunity to let everyone know that the noisy spalling project that was on-going during this guest’s stay was completed in the fall of 2013, and should not deter future guests from staying at the Resort.

This guest stayed in one of the 35 timeshare units in the building and we are happy that Worldmark was able to relocate this guest. As representatives of the private owners of condos at the Resort who are not part of the timeshare program, we were under the impression that Worldmark was informing their guests about the project before their stays, as our owners were doing. We don’t know if this information was not communicated, or if the guest just did not read the information provided.
