The view was unbelievable. We never closed the sliding glass door and enjoyed the sound of the waves. The room was well equipped and very clean. The carpet was a litle wet our first day from an early morning cleaning. The murphy bed was comfortable enough. The hot tub was more like a warm tub but who cares really. We loved the location and enjoyed the beautiful beach daily even swimming with the sea turtles. The staff wasn't overly friendly once you do not attend the next day orientation /complimentary breakfast that is nothing but an annoying sales pitch to push the time share purchase. It was quiet and a no fuss atmosphere. They provide maid service once a week only and charge I believe 40$ for wifi for your stay or 10$ for daily access.I would stay again despite the lack of Aloha spirit at the hotel because you cant get a better view and room for the price and I dont need all the frills of a higher priced resort. There is a wonderful chineese restaraunt around the corner.China Boat..the owners and staff were awesome and so was the food!

Room Tip: Best views on upper floors

My family and I stayed in a studio unit on the 8th floor. The unit was very clean and nicely maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, etc. and the laundry room was on the same floor which was convenient. The view was gorgeous and we kept the balcony door slightly open to listen to the waves. The beach was very peaceful and felt private. If you want to boogie board, you can take a short drive to Fleming Beach. We thought the Murphy bed was fine. If you are looking for fancy pools, slides and waiters to take your order poolside, this is not the place. They change the towels and sweep mid-week which are typical of timeshares. Sands has a casual restaurant next door and there are restaurants close by. If you are looking for a clean apartment steps away from the beach that has beautiful sunsets and close enough to hear the waves at night, this is a great option. The overall staff was friendly especially the front desk except for the lady who held the lei making classes. She was not nice. We had a relaxing vacation and this resort was a great value.

Room Tip: Laundry facilities on the 4th, 8th and 10th floors. Ask for a high floor.

Aloha, Melanie! Thank you for visiting Kahana Beach. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Our clean, spacious units are world famous for their breathtaking views and, as you mentioned, beautiful sunsets. It has been determined the waves that inhabit Kahana Beach are some of the most relaxing on Maui and known to cure insomnia. We will be sure to pass along your compliments to Mr. Murphy. Friendly customer service is our top priority. We are happy to know our staff displayed the Aloha spirit and apologize for the one exception. Thank you for sharing your comments. We hope you will consider us again on your next visit to Maui. Mahalo!

This is a very good property. We had a studio room on the 9th floor. Great view from our room and balcony. That high up, we kept our patio door open all the time. It was great. At night, you could hear the waves breaking on the beach. This property is right on Kahana Beach. Just off the patio was the beach and it was a nice beach. Not crowded at all. We were able to lay out on the beach, swim and snorkel. It was just a great spot. The room was spacious and clean. Just nice accommodations. Also, it is conveniently located. Just minutes from Lahaina. Will definitely be back.

Thank you for visiting Kahana Beach. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Our spectacular ocean views entice travelers from all over the world, including Oklahoma (where the wind comes sweepin’ down the plain). And there is no greater SFX than waves breaking on the beach at night, lulling you to sleep with their soothing rhythmic insistence. Our spacious studios and one-bedroom suites allow you all the room you need to stretch out and unwind as you leave your worries behind. Thank you for sharing your comments. We hope you will consider us again on your next visit to Maui.

The only 'con'- it was a timeshare resort and we were guests of the owner so the timeshare lady called our room to try and get us to go to a presentation which we declined. However, she was helpful with maps and suggestions for tours - just book them yourself.

The resort was right on the beach - you could not get any closer. I loved hearing the sound of the surf on the 6th floor even with the balcony door closed. The bed came out of the wall and had a regular double mattress - not the kind you find on a fold-out sofa bed or fouton. It was not the 9 inch mattress we have at home on our king bed; but comfortable.

We went for breakfast every morning next door at Sands of Kahana restaurant. There was a convenience store across the street plus a Shell gas station and McDonald's on the corner about a half block away.

The resort was very easy to find from the airport (OGG) with the instructions from their website.

Not a huge resort with lots of amenities - just 12 floors, a pool, BBQ grills and fabulous unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean - just the way we like it!!!!

Room Tip: If you want a 1-bedroom, book early - there's only 1 per floor! You will have the same great vi...

We stayed here in May and had a wonderful time. The property was clean. The studio was spacious. The Murphy bed was fairly comfortable. The best thing was opening the sliding door and having a fantastic view of the ocean. Sleeping at night listening to the waves. The beach is a great swim beach. The property is in a great location! You can't beat the price. Not many amenities, but we go to the islands to sight see and snorkel. Will stay here again!

Room Tip: Stay 6th floor and up for a great view of the turtles swimming by!

Thank you for visiting Kahana Beach. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Our 750-square foot studio comfortably accommodates four people. It includes a limited kitchen and offers a breathtaking ocean view. You are so right about the waves. They work better than any over-the-counter sleep remedy. Thank you for sharing your comments. We hope you will consider us again on your next visit to Maui.

Nice place. We got a studio. These are on the right side. We happened to be there when it was very windy. The wind whipped between our building and the other and howled. Couldn't close the sliding door all the way or the wind whistled in the door crack. Book a room ending in 3 up to 7 and you will be on the side facing ocean and the building will block the wind. There is no restraunt or WiFi. Laundry rooms on several floors. We had a kitchenette. The beach was quiet in the morning. Good for shelling. The beach was calm enough to snorkel or swim. This is on the far West side of the island. The South side has lots of regular sandy beaches. The West has a lot of rocky beaches. Rocky beaches make for better snorkeling.

Room Tip: There is bus service in this area, but rent a car. Some of the small planes now land at the airport...

We stayed in a one bedroom with one of the best ocean views in Maui. It's not just the view, it also the sound of the ocean. As the morning comes looking out into the sea you may see a whale jump a wave high into the air. We stay here every other years and we enjoy our week each stay. Here is what I like, two tvs and a full kichen. Our last trip we decided to fly into the Kapalua airport within miles cab ride (15USD) of the KB property, this way we would not need a car. We used the bus to travel for a local experience and a cap when needed. This cut our cost a little. No on property extra, you have a washer and dryer on most floors. Pool and above ground spa with a bar a little down the beach.
If you decide to book a stay, please keep it clean for my next trip! Mahalo!

Room Tip: No fitness center or room service, this a vacation property not a hotel.
