Captain Jack's is a new restaurant located upstairs at "The Wharf" shopping complex on Front Street near the end of "town". There have been several other restaurants there over the years, but I think this one will be a success. They seem to be owned by the same people as Cool Cat Cafe, wish we love. They have a wide selection of things to eat and their prices are on the reasonable end of the "resort price spread". My husband and I both like Philly sandwiches and hadn't had one for a very long time, so we both got the same thing. Our waitress told us the Philly was their most ordered item. They cost $12. There are coupons around that give you a free dessert with two meals. The offering that night was cheese cake or you could get an ice cream at the shop downstairs - apparently also owned by the same group. We opted for the cheesecake. It was good - nothing to write home about, but then I'm not a big fan of cheesecake. Everything is a la carte. Add fries for $2, a side salad for $3, or carrots & celery with ranch for $3. The sandwiches range in price from $8 to $12. Several have the option of adding cheese or bacon for an extra $1 or $2. We saw several items passing by our table and they all looked very good. They have a French Dip for $10 which went to a table near by and looked delicious. They serve Breakfast, Lunch Dinner and Late night Specials. They are open from 8 am to 11:45 pm. The atmosphere was good. The staff helpful and friendly. We liked it a lot and will definitely go back.
