Great unique noodle dishes in a very nice atmosphere. A little disappointed they didn't offer up the brussels sprouts my wife and daughter bragged about this past spring but it's a seasonal thing. And that is one of the great features if this restaurant...great, fresh seasonal vegetables gracing the presence of delicious Asian noodle dishes. The interior decor is very comforting and sitting at the noodle bar is convenient and practical. This is just a great place for lunch or dinner. Why the four stars? Just wish the serving was a little larger. Please try Star Noodle and experience the freshness.

“Great Decor, Great Noodles”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

We wet for a late lunch, Sunday at 1:00, and were immediately seated at the bar. This was a great place to sit because we got to see the chefs at work and every dish as it came out through the window. It's really designed for sharing food family style, but we had just 2. Started with the Vietnamese crepes, and were amazed. Never had anything like this before. A giant crispy corn tortilla type thing filled with pork & shrimp in a coconut-based sauce. It comes with a pile of lettuce, you cut up the tortilla & filling, then make your own lettuce wraps. The red sauce really gives it a good pop. Had garlic noodles and Singapore noodles. Everything was delicious. Johnny the bartender makes the drinks actually mashing whole fruit in the glass. Top notch experience!

“Our favorite meal in Maui”
Reviewed November 24, 2013 via mobile

We went to Star Noodle based on recommendation. We browsed through the reviews as well but didn't catch the idea it would be too busy. We decided to hit up happy hour in Old Lahina town first for a little Saturday night fun. We arrived around 8:30 or so. Tables were not available but did have 2 perfect spots at the bar for us. The bar server was nice and chill talked to us about some local beers and apps. We went with the Vietnamese crepe. WOW that was good. Our server even told us how to make the perfect bite! Next we ordered the Pad Thai and the udon. Our server said instead of the udon to go with the ramen. We love when a server does that! We feel like you can't go wrong that way. We were not disappointed in the least with his suggestion! They even split the soup into 2 bowls. We had plenty leftover, were stuffed and ready to head out. We got the bill at and it was $37! This was one of our cheapest and best meals on Maui. It's not good because of the price. It's good because it's really good! The price is just a bonus!!

“Odd location but great food”

After visiting Thailand we are pad Thai snobs and let me tell you this pad Thai was amazing. BUT so were the pork buns we had as appetizers. We also had a pork bowl that was tasty. All and all very good meal!

“Good food and decor...”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

I visited this restaurant with some friends that came from out of town. We arrived there at around 8:30pm due to the long drive from Kahului. When we got there, there were a lot of people waiting in front of us. If you do decide to eat here, you should definitely get there early. I believe the restaurant closes at 10pm. We were lucky enough to be the last group seated. The food was good and the service was average. Definitely a place you should stop by if you are staying in the area.
