Wow - Sheldon's restaurant in Lahaina was definitely worth the trip! (It's past a little industrial area so you think you are going to the wrong place!).
We had wonderful drinks - I had an Asian pear mocktail (I couldn't drink alcohol at the time ) and it was light and refreshing. Others chose local beers and some sparkling sake.
For small plates you must get the kimchee! It's delicious. We also got the Nahul which was a variety of marinated veggies. The miso Salmon was quite tasty. The mushrooms were ok - needed a little more flavor (or salt). The steamed buns were delicious as was the crepe. Both were the stars of the meal. We also tried the pad thai which is definitely different than your typical PT (much more flavorful) and the Singapore noodles.
Our one 'complaint' was we thought that there would be more gluten free options with the noodle dishes (i.e. they could make the dishes with gluten free noodles). Unfortunately that was not the case. So while there were a few small plates the GF folks could have (3-4)- there were only 2 noodle plates they could have. I guess it's better than none!
