“Asain style tapas--great!”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

This small restaurant, located in the middle of an ugly industrial complex, was a pleasant surprise. The Oriental decor was well done and the food was even better. I recommend the salmon and also the garlic noodles. You might want to eat Chinese style--everybody sharing, because you want to sample everything! The malasadas for desert-- a must!!

“Wow, worth finding!”
Reviewed October 12, 2012 via mobile

What a find was Star Noodle. We drove up from the Four Seasons to check it out and were not disappointed. The Tuna poke was amazing. Big chunks of dark rich belly tuna lightly tossed with extra virgin olive oil and a zesty aioli. The Brussel sprouts were just as good and the pad Thai was delicious.
Highlight: they serve a Pear vodka and sake cocktail that is nothing short of Amazing! You must try it.
Cool place, great food and drinks.
Cheers Sheldon.

“Oh wow.....”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

This place has it going on....we went on a Saturday night and were surprised that our wait was only like 15 minutes, yay!

We ended up with 8 courses...started with their relish tray: home made Kim chee, bok choy and I forgot what else, it was all good. Then out came the ahi belly, oh wow, in garlic-oil sauce...yum! Then brussel sprouts, yum too...then garlic noodles and the finale was the Vietnamese crepe...oh wow! Explosion of flavor!

For dessert we got a tasting of 3 ice creams: apple, chocolate and strawberry made with strawberry soda (I guess it's an island flavor); fried bread pudding and the dessert finale of malasadas....oh wow!

I guess you can tell I loved this meal. The staff here rock! They recommended a pear-vodka drink that was absolutely amazing.

It's worth the wait and it's not too harsh on the pocketbook. Look for their chef Sheldon on Top Chef next month. He came and introduced himself to us, so I felt like I'd met a rock star, ha!

“Pork Buns FTW”
Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

Up past an industrial complex is the Star Noodle restaurant. This place was recommended by multiple people so we had to try it. We got in around 5pm to avoid the rush (it did fill up fast). We started with pork buns and Brussels sprouts. The pork buns were delicious, a nice piece of pork nestled in a warm Chinese bun with just the right amount of hoison (dont worry they provide more plus chili, hot sauce, and soy sauce) The sprouts were served with bacon, kimchee sauce, and some cayenne on the side of feeling spicy.

for mains we had the star soba soup and garlic noodles. Both were amazingly flavourful an filling. only issue was we ordered with chicken however chicken was not on the plate. it wasn't charged to us so no harm no fowl (ugh).

Prices were very reasonable as we're portions. the cocktail menu was also impressive
